If you’re a fan of the 2020 game BPM: Bullets Per Minute and have been curious about Awe Interactive since then, here’s some exciting news! The developer has a new project in the pipeline titled BPM: Bitcrushed, slated for release in 2026 on consoles and PC. Take a look at the first trailer below to get a taste of what’s to come.
A notable change from its previous version is that this game doesn’t use a first-person perspective. It remains a rhythm-based shooter incorporating rogue-lite elements, but with a pixelated design and an option for personalized music imports. The layout is reminiscent of Enter the Gungeon, featuring randomly generated dungeons. Unlike traditional gameplay, players can also employ melee weapons to deliver powerful blows, rather than just shooting.
You can also dodge through various situations, escaping a barrage of gunfire as you go. The ultimate objective is to prevent Ragnarok, but the methods and length of the tale are yet to be revealed. Keep an eye out for future announcements.
Currently, the game titled “BPM: Bullets Per Minute” can be played on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. After its release, it has received some complimentary updates, enriching the gameplay with additional content.
