After struggling with who he is in season two, season three shows him trying to establish himself and enjoying a lively social life with many romantic interests. Currently, he’s completely captivated by a mysterious woman known as the Lady in Silver, unaware of who she really is or what she’s planning.

Luke Thompson has also starred in several other projects, including the series Kiss Me First, the film In the Club (where he played Simon), Dunkirk, and Misbehaviour.

Besides Bridgerton, Luke Newton has appeared in shows like The Cut, The Lodge (a Disney Channel series), Mr Selfridge, and Doctors.

Hannah Dodd plays Francesca Bridgerton

Francesca Bridgerton is the fifth of eight Bridgerton siblings and takes center stage in season 3 as she enters London’s social scene. Those familiar with the books know what’s in store for her, but the show follows Francesca as she adjusts to married life with John, including some initially uncomfortable discussions about intimacy after their honeymoon in Scotland.

Hannah Dodd is best known for taking over the role of Francesca Bridgerton in the popular series, previously played by Ruby Stokes. She’s also appeared in shows like Find Me In Paris and Harlots, and the films Enola Holmes 2 and Anatomy of a Scandal.

Nicola Coughlan plays Penelope Featherington

Penelope Featherington is a smart, kind, and romantic woman, the youngest of three sisters. Unlike her family, she’s always felt like an outsider. Last season, however, she truly blossomed when her secret identity as the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown was revealed, and she finally confessed her love for Colin. Now happily married to Colin and with a baby, they are enjoying a blissful life together.

Nicola Coughlan is famous for playing Clare Devlin in the comedy series Derry Girls. Beyond that, she’s appeared in the historical drama Harlots, and made her stage debut in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie in 2018. More recently, she’s been in Channel 4’s Big Mood, Dodger, Barbie, Seize Them! and Doctor Who.

Victor Alli plays Lord John Stirling

John Stirling is a quiet, private person, much like his wife, Francesca. The two are a good match and married in a small ceremony during season 3. They’ve recently come back from a trip to the Scottish Highlands.

You might recognize Victor Alli from his roles in shows and movies like Andor, Death on the Nile, and Gangs of London.

Ruth Gemmell plays Violet, Dowager Countess Bridgerton

Lady Violet Bridgerton is a kind, well-off widow with a good reputation. She adored her late husband and is now raising their eight children on her own. While her eldest son, Anthony, is technically the head of the family due to the rules of the time, Lady Violet quietly works to ensure all her children find happy and advantageous marriages, just like hers. This season, she’s particularly enjoying a playful and close friendship with Marcus.

Ruth Gemmell is known for her roles in several popular TV shows and films. Recently, she’s played characters like Sarah Collingborne in Home Fires, Gina Graham in Deep State, and Octavia Putney in Penny Dreadful. Katie Leung as Lady Araminta Gun

Lady Araminta Gun is a twice-married, twice-widowed woman determined to make sure her daughters have successful debuts in high society. Sophie works as her maid, and the two women have a complex and difficult past together. Araminta is focused on her daughters’ futures, regardless of what others might say about her.

Katie Leung is famous for playing Cho Chang in the Harry Potter movies. Beyond that, she’s appeared in several other popular shows and series, including Annika, Arcane, The Peripheral, Strangers, The Wheel of Time, and Nightsleeper.

Michelle Mao as Rosamund Li

Posy Li is a bit different from the rest of her family. While her mother and sister are more reserved, Posy is outgoing and loves to talk. Sometimes, though, her eagerness gets her into trouble and she accidentally says the wrong thing.

Isabella Wei first appeared on television in 2022 with the Netflix series 1899. Since then, she’s been in High Wire, The Crow, and Black Doves.

Polly Walker plays Portia, Dowager Baroness Featherington

Lady Portia Featherington is the ambitious mother of the Featherington daughters. Aware her family lacks the status and fortune of the Bridgertons, she’s focused on securing advantageous marriages for her daughters. She’s particularly thrilled that Penelope is now connected to the Bridgertons and that the Featheringtons have a new male heir, improving their prospects.

If you’ve been watching Polly Walker lately, you’ve definitely seen a lot of her! She’s been incredibly busy with TV roles. I recently recognized her from Line of Duty, where she played Gill, but she’s also been Peggy Sykes in Pennyworth, Lady Lunete in Cursed, and Bel in Age Before Beauty. Digging a little further, her resume is packed with great shows like The Syndicate, Paranoid, Mr Selfridge, Prisoners Wives, Rome, and even State of Play. Seriously, this actress is everywhere!

Emma Naomi plays Alice Mondrich

Alice Mondrich is Will Mondrich’s wife. In the third season, her family gains more prominence, and Alice begins to pursue her own path within their community.

Emma Naomi has appeared in several shows, including “Professor T” (2021), “Surprised by Oxford” (2023), and more recently, “Too Much” and “What It Feels Like for a Girl”.

Claudia Jessie plays Eloise Bridgerton

Eloise Bridgerton is known for being intelligent, bold, and independent. She dreams of achieving something significant, but she’s getting to the age where people expect her to marry. While she dreads the traditional debutante season and finding a husband, her friend Penelope’s recent engagement is making her think about her own future.

Claudia Jessie is known for more than just her current role! She previously played Amelia Sedley in the 2018 series Vanity Fair. More recently, she appeared in Toxic Town, and her other credits include Nessa in Defending the Guilty, Jodie in Line of Duty, Lucy in Porters, Kira Arlo in a Doctor Who episode called ‘Kerblam!’, and WPC Annie Taylor in WPC 56.

Queen Charlotte is a central figure in Bridgerton, married to King George III, who struggles with illness and remains largely out of the public view. She effectively serves as the public face of the monarchy. Her marriage to a Black woman years prior caused significant societal shifts, improving the standing of Black people and other minority groups. As a character, Queen Charlotte is known for being a bit of a gossip, delighting in the love lives of the upper class – and often meddling in them! She’s also fiercely opinionated and doesn’t tolerate foolishness.

The character of Queen Charlotte is inspired by the real Queen Charlotte, who was married to King George III. As King George III experienced more and more mental and physical health problems, their oldest son was named Prince Regent to govern in his stead. Her life was recently depicted in the Bridgerton prequel, Queen Charlotte, where she’s also shown actively seeking out a genuine and admirable woman to join high society.

Besides Bridgerton, Golda Rosheuvel has also acted in shows and productions like Dead Boss, Torchwood, Lady Macbeth, Luther, Death in Paradise, and the Doctor Who episode ‘Space Babies’.

Martins Imhangbe plays Will Mondrich

Will Mondrich is a boxer and a friend of Simon Basset from the first season. Though he didn’t start with wealth, Will has a happy marriage and family. By season 3, the Mondrichs have risen to prominence and are now among the elite in society.

Where else have I seen Masali Baduza? Stirling has previously starred in The Woman King.

Jonathan Bailey plays Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton

Anthony Bridgerton is the oldest of the Bridgerton siblings and became the head of the family after their father passed away, inheriting the title of Viscount. He’s wealthy, attractive, and known for his charm. While he initially didn’t want to get married or find a deep connection, he eventually fell in love with Kate and they are now married.

Julie Andrews is the voice of Lady Whistledown

Everyone in town is buzzing about Lady Whistledown! She’s the anonymous author of a new gossip newsletter revealing all the secrets and happenings of high society. No one knows her true identity, but she clearly has inside information on everyone.

Julie Andrews is famous for many roles! Besides the classics like Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, she’s also starred in The Princess Diaries and Victor Victoria. Voice acting isn’t new to her either – she’s lent her voice to characters like Gru’s mom in Despicable Me, the Queen in Shrek, Karathen in Aquaman, and the narrator in Enchanted.

Cast of Bridgerton seasons 1, 2 and 3

Sam Phillips plays Lord Alfred Debling

Lord Debling is a new character introduced in season 3, and he’s one of the gentlemen hoping to find a wife. He’s a successful businessman who has spent a lot of time traveling, but now he’s looking for a partner, and he seems particularly interested in Penelope Featherington.

The actor hopes audiences won’t view his character as a villain, explaining to Town & Country magazine that he’s a complex and ultimately good person with a full range of emotions, thoughts, and aspirations.

Besides his well-known roles, Sam Phillips has appeared in the TV series This England, The Crown, Grantchester, and The Syndicate.

Harriet Cains plays Philippa Featherington

Philippa Featherington, a character from the Netflix series, isn’t portrayed as particularly intelligent. In season 3, she’s married and, like her sister, is now trying to have a child to continue the Featherington family line.

However, in the third season, she surprisingly becomes friends with Eloise, forming an unexpected bond after a falling out with Penelope. The two are now close companions in London’s high society.

I’m always curious about where I’ve seen actors before, and with Jessica Madsen, she’s popped up in some interesting places! I recognize her from roles in films like Rambo: Last Blood and Leatherface, but she’s also been in the series Mr Selfridge and the movie Tina and Bobby. She’s been steadily building a cool filmography, and Dark Light is another title I remember seeing her in.

Bessie Carter plays Prudence Featherington

Phoebe Dynevor plays Daphne Basset, Duchess of Hastings

I first met Daphne Bridgerton when she made her debut in society – she’s incredibly beautiful and comes from a really important family, and she was looking for a husband. I saw her again in the second season, though she was mostly visiting from her new home to help her brother, Anthony, find his perfect match. It was lovely to see her thriving!

Besides her popular role in Bridgerton, Phoebe Dynevor has appeared in several other TV shows. She started her career with a part in Waterloo Road, and has since been in The Village, Prisoners Wives, Dickensian (playing Martha Cratchit), Snatch (as Lotti Mott), and Younger (as Clare). Regé-Jean Page plays Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings

Let me tell you about Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings! He shows up at the start of the first season having just inherited the title and comes back to London, but he’s really not planning on staying long. Everyone, especially Lady Danbury, is hoping he’ll find a wife, but he’s pretty set on not getting married – and definitely wants to avoid all the mothers pushing their daughters at him! Sadly, he’s not around at all in season two.

Besides Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page has appeared in several other shows. Like Phoebe Dynevor, he was on Waterloo Road, though their time on the series didn’t overlap—he joined in 2015 as Guy Braxton after she’d already left. He’s also played roles like Dean in Fresh Meat, Chicken George in the 2016 miniseries Roots, and Leonard Knox in Shonda Rhimes’ legal drama, For The People.

Rupert Young as Jack, Baron Featherington

Lord Jack Featherington is a relative of the Featherington family who unexpectedly becomes the head of the household. Many wonder if he can improve the lives of Portia and her daughters.

As a big fan of Ruper Young, I’ve noticed he’s been in a lot of great shows! I’ve seen him pop up in everything from fantasy like Merlin and historical dramas like The White Queen, to popular series like Doc Martin, Foyle’s War, Hotel Babylon, and even Doctor Who. He really gets around!

Ruby Barker plays Marina Crane (née Thompson)

Marina Thompson is a newcomer introduced in the first season of the show. She’s sent to London to live with her wealthy cousins, the Featheringtons, though she’s much less privileged than they are. The show hints that her arrival will cause quite a stir, but she doesn’t appear in season two.
