Brigitte Bardot is alive, thank you very much.
After reports circulated online that she had passed away, 91-year-old French actress Brigitte Bardot used social media to confirm she is still alive.
Okay, so there was a rumor going around online last night that I had passed away, and honestly, it was pretty shocking to see! I wanted to jump right on it and assure everyone that I’m perfectly fine. I’m doing well and definitely not planning on retiring anytime soon – I’ve got too much life to live! It’s just so strange when things like that spread, but I’m grateful for everyone checking in.
She concluded with, “A word to the wise.”
Brigitte Bardot recently explained that she had been quietly recovering in a hospital in Toulon, France, following surgery weeks ago. The French newspaper Var-Matin first reported on October 17th that the And God Created Woman star had been receiving care there.
According to reports, Brigitte Bardot had surgery after struggling with a serious health issue, and her condition caused concern.
However, according to a report in Var-Matin at the time, Bardot was anticipated to leave the hospital and continue her recovery at her home in St. Tropez, after being admitted there in late September.
TopMob News contacted Bardot’s representatives for an update on her hospitalization and health, but they didn’t receive a response.
The singer is facing a new health issue, two years after paramedics were called to her home. In 2023, her husband, Bernard d’Ormale, said she had difficulty breathing.
Brigitte started having difficulty breathing around 9 p.m., according to d’Ormale, as he told Var-Matin. While it was more severe than usual, she remained conscious. Firefighters arrived and provided oxygen, staying to keep an eye on her condition.
The event occurred in July, and it led Bardot’s husband of over three decades to suggest a possible reason: like many people as they get older, she struggles with hot weather.
Brigitte Bardot was one of the first French actors to become internationally famous. She stepped away from acting in 1973, with the film The Edifying and Joyous Story of Colinot being her final project, to dedicate herself to her lifelong commitment to animal welfare.
“It’s what I dreamed of,” she told Vanity Fair in 2012. “It’s what I always wanted.”
Brigitte Bardot has always been open about getting older. She’s found real meaning in life through her animal welfare work.
She told the publication that she doesn’t worry about getting older or feeling worn out, explaining that she’s too focused on her life’s work to dwell on aging. She lives entirely for her cause.

Nikki Bella, known from Total Bellas, shared that one of her breast implants moved after being hit in the chest by Piper Niven during a wrestling match in July 2025.
Oh my gosh, she actually said that! I remember reading about it. She told Bella, her sister, that everything would be alright, that she’d get things fixed ‘one day.’ And then she told the doctor – it was SO her! – that as soon as her dancing days were over, she was coming straight back to him to make sure everything looked amazing. She was already planning how incredible she’d look, and she said those ‘girls’ – you know, her body – were going to be getting a lot of attention, and she wouldn’t let them look anything less than perfect! It’s just… she’s so driven and amazing, even when talking about something so personal. I’ve re-read that quote a million times!
Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in 12 Years a Slave, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.
She didn’t share her diagnosis until 2025, when she revealed on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with the condition for over ten years.
She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being female. This often leaves us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.
In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, which caused a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.
Someone messaged Suki on X (formerly Twitter), asking why she hadn’t posted recently. Suki jokingly replied, explaining she’d been keeping quiet because of a hernia she got from wearing very tight pants six months ago and hadn’t wanted to share.
The former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.
Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain, which led him to the emergency room. He discovered he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.
He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”
During a soccer game against Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder from Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.
Oh my gosh, I was watching the game and it was terrifying! She just started slowly lowering herself to the ground, and another player rushed over to support her. Then, just seconds later, she completely collapsed! The ref immediately called for the trainers, and I was just holding my breath, so worried. It was awful to watch, honestly.
After receiving initial medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, the National Women’s Soccer League announced on X that evening. They reported she is currently in stable condition and is alert.
Adam Devine revealed that injuries from a childhood accident – he was hit by a cement truck at age 11 – continue to cause him problems now.
“It’s been awful,” Devine shared on the 2025 episode of the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the last year, actually.”
He acknowledged that pain is temporary, explaining that his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t working perfectly.
The reality TV star revealed he had to crawl to the hospital because of severe back pain that got worse during a road trip with a friend.
He described a lingering tingling sensation in his knees and toes during a March 2025 episode of his podcast, Trading Secrets. He explained that just a few weeks or a month prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a squat or stand on one foot without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.
But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

In February 2025, the former Even Stevens star revealed she was shot in the face during a birthday celebration for her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were on a clay pigeon shooting trip when the incident occurred.
According to her Instagram post, she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. She wrote that Brendan Rooney quickly helped her, evaluated her injuries, and took her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within an inch of a direct hit.
According to the former Kim Possible star, a small piece of something got stuck behind her eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they’ll continue to watch her condition, as her vision is currently normal.
The actress expressed immense gratitude for surviving and shared how much she cherishes her loved ones – her daughters, husband, family, and friends. Reflecting on a near-death experience, she urged everyone to embrace their loved ones, emphasizing how quickly life can change.
Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her figure out what was wrong with her health. After noticing she looked “puffier,” she did a lot of interviews, and people online started commenting. She was surprised when doctors chimed in, expressing concern that she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often caused by high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This made her realize she’d been getting steroid injections for her breast reduction and C-section scars. Schumer said she wouldn’t have known about the condition if not for the online comments. She recently learned she has a form of Cushing syndrome that will resolve on its own, and she’s incredibly relieved to be healthy.
In December 2024, an AHL player suffered a skate cut during a game and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very lucky, and no parent should have to go through that.”
In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, struggling to speak and noticing her face drooping. Though these symptoms eventually subsided, she went to the hospital for testing. Doctors discovered she’d had a small blood clot travel to her brain, which they identified as a TIA, or transient ischemic attack. Further investigation at UCLA revealed Hailey had a hole in her heart called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). This hole allowed the blood clot to reach her brain, causing the TIA. Hailey has since undergone a successful procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.
The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the rest of his Justice World Tour.
In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on one side. He also shared that it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to eat.
Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well, adding that while the situation had been frightening and unexpected, he was going to be completely fine and she was thankful he was on the mend.
Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache while in Atlanta. Before he could take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.
He initially saw a doctor who gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was concerned and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke.
After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.
I was shocked to hear our favorite reality star say she actually ‘died’ while doing the first challenge on the NBC show! Apparently, she collapsed during a mile run, and that’s how she described the experience. It was so scary to hear her talk about it!
She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, she remembers only darkness, followed by light, which led her to realize she had died that day.
She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.
Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the series, she experienced a sudden, severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.
A hospital scan quickly revealed a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She had suffered an aneurysm, a rupture in an artery. Emergency surgery was performed to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, making it difficult to speak and causing her to utter nonsensical phrases.
Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a massive bleed and a dire prognosis. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.
Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.
Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, credits her family with helping her through a difficult time. In January 2024, she suffered a stroke and immediately reached out to her loved ones, who quickly came to her support. She told TopMob News’ Will Marfuggi in December 2024 that everyone rushed to be there for her.
Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer than expected due to other health issues. While she could have gone home after the stroke, she was also dealing with complications from lupus and kidney problems.
Fortunately, Cori is now recovering well. She says she’s feeling great and has mostly regained her motor skills after some work, and is otherwise doing fine.
Oh my gosh, I was so heartbroken listening to Shailene talk about everything she went through in her early twenties! It sounds absolutely awful. She said she got to the point where she was losing her hearing and couldn’t even walk for five minutes without needing to sleep for hours! And everything she ate caused her pain. Can you imagine?! She was running around to doctors, getting so many different diagnoses, it must have been so confusing and scary.
Being the amazing, holistic person she is, she didn’t just stick with traditional medicine. She really dove into finding answers herself, combining real doctors with alternative healers. It took ten years of struggle! She explained how the physical pain led to so much more – fear of food, body dysmorphia, and just feeling completely lost in her own body. It’s just… so relatable, even though her experience was so extreme.
But thankfully, she’s doing so much better now! She said the issues eventually resolved themselves and she’s genuinely healthy and happy. Honestly, hearing her say that just made my day. She’s such an inspiration, and I’m so glad she’s finally feeling like herself again.
