Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz Shake Off Family Feud on Oscars Date

After months of public disagreement with David and Victoria Beckham, the couple appeared to have moved past the family conflict when they attended a rare Oscars date night on March 15th.

The pair went to Elton John’s AIDS Foundation’s annual Oscar party in West Hollywood, California, and arrived on the red carpet wearing matching black outfits.

For the glamorous event, Nicola, age 31, wore a black, one-shoulder dress with delicate cutouts and lace detailing. Brooklyn, 27, chose a classic black suit.

Despite seeming happy, it’s been a difficult few months for the couple. Back in January, Brooklyn publicly claimed his parents – who also have Romeo, Cruz, and Harper Beckham – tried to create conflict between him and his wife, Nicola.

In a social media post on January 19th, he explained that after years of staying quiet and trying to keep things private, he felt forced to speak out. He said his parents and their representatives kept going to the media, and he needed to correct some of the untrue stories being told. He made it clear he doesn’t want to repair his relationship with his family, stating he’s asserting his independence and speaking up for himself for the first time.

The chef stated that his parents have consistently manipulated media coverage about his family throughout his life. He also alleged that his mother behaved inappropriately towards him at his wedding to Nicola in 2022, and that his parents have been consistently trying to sabotage his relationship since before the wedding, a pattern that continues to this day.

David and Victoria Beckham haven’t publicly addressed their son Brooklyn’s statements much, but they did wish him a happy birthday in March.

On March 4th, they shared a nostalgic photo with their son on Instagram, wishing him a happy birthday and expressing their deep love for him.

Even after publicly addressing the issues, the family doesn’t appear to be doing much better. Just before attending the Oscars with his wife, Brooklyn Beckham seemed to subtly exclude his own mother, Victoria, by posting a birthday message dedicated to his wife’s mother, Claudia Heffner Peltz, on UK Mother’s Day.

Brooklyn Beckham wished his mother-in-law a happy birthday on Instagram Stories on March 14th, even though her birthday was actually two days prior. He wrote, ‘Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.’
