
The 98th Academy Awards were a fantastic showcase of the year’s best films and actors. This year’s Best Actor category features some exciting newcomers alongside established stars. Wagner Moura and Michael B. Jordan are both first-time Oscar nominees, recognized for their performances in The Secret Agent and Sinners, respectively. They’re joined by acting veterans Ethan Hawke, Timothée Chalamet, and Leonardo DiCaprio, who have collectively received a remarkable 16 Oscar nominations for their roles in Blue Moon, Marty Supreme, and One Battle After Another.
Among these five actors, Leonardo DiCaprio is the only one who has already won the Best Actor Oscar, receiving it in 2015 for The Revenant. All of this year’s nominees are starring in films that have received numerous Oscar nominations, and some of those films have already won awards. As the ceremony nears its end, this highly anticipated category is finally here, and fans are eager to find out which actor will be recognized as the best.
Michael B. Jordan won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Sinners. He played twin brothers, Elijah and Elias Moore, who return to their Mississippi hometown and discover a new danger lurking there.
