Brooks Naderis back up and dancing on her feet.

The former Dancing With the Stars contestant revealed she had a medical problem while flying to St. Barts for her 29th birthday.

On February 15th, a photo was posted to Instagram by Sarah Jane Nader showing her sister, Brooks, feeling unwell on a plane. Brooks was lying down with a blanket, being comforted by her family. Sarah Jane explained that Brooks had food poisoning and described the situation as serious.

Another video showed model Breaux Nader being helped by her dad while drinking from a cup, and Sarah Jane commented with a playful, “The struggles Breaux Nader goes through!”

After Brooks arrived in St. Barts, she joked about the situation by posting a picture of the ambulance that came to help her, with the caption, “Is your trip even fun if you don’t arrive by ambulance???”

She later shared a sunny selfie from the boat, confirming she was safe. She and her sisters, including Mary Holland Nader and Grace Ann Nader, had been celebrating a birthday with activities like tubing and a fireworks display.

Before turning 29, Brooks openly shared her process of accepting herself and her age. As part of this, she removed the lip and cheek fillers she’d previously gotten while trying to meet Hollywood’s standards of beauty.

She said she was pleased with the reaction, especially because she often hears comments saying she looks 40. ‘I don’t want to be 40!’ she exclaimed in an interview with Us Weekly on February 13th.

I’ve been so touched by the reaction to my recent look! People are saying the best thing – that I finally look my age, around 28, which is honestly wonderful to hear. It’s amazing how a little change can resonate with everyone!

As for if she’ll get filler again in the future?

“I’m really happy with how I look and especially my smile,” Brooks said. “I finally feel like myself again.”

I was so saddened to learn that Lupita Nyong’o was diagnosed with uterine fibroids back in 2014. It’s incredible to me that even while experiencing that health challenge, she went on to win an Oscar that same year! Uterine fibroids are these non-cancerous growths that can develop in or around the uterus, and it just shows how strong she is to navigate that while achieving such incredible success.

She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, sharing on Instagram that she had privately struggled with it for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, many of us are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of being female. This often leaves us dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from Daisy Jones & The Six revealed she was hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, causing a gap to form in her abdominal muscles.

Someone messaged me on X, which used to be Twitter, saying, ‘Suki, you never tweet anymore!’ It totally caught me off guard. I mean, I’ve been dealing with a really embarrassing health issue – I actually got a hernia six months ago from wearing pants that were way too tight, and I’ve been terrified to tell anyone, including her!

In April 2025, the former star of Beverly Hills, 90210 shared that he was recovering from surgery to repair a nearly ruptured appendix.

Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He explained that his appendix had a hole in it – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before collapsing. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.

As a lifestyle expert focused on well-being, I was relieved to hear that Savannah received immediate medical attention right on the field. The NWSL confirmed she was quickly taken to a local hospital for a more thorough check-up, and thankfully, she’s currently stable and alert. It’s always reassuring to know athletes are getting the care they need when an incident occurs.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck at age 11 continue to cause him problems even now.

“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the In Depth With Graham Bensinger podcast in 2025. “I experience muscle spasms all over my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—just within the last year.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying his body has some minor imperfections and isn’t quite working as it should.

A former contestant on The Bachelor had to be hospitalized after experiencing severe back pain. He described having to crawl to get help, and said the pain worsened during a recent road trip with a friend.

He described a persistent tingling sensation in his legs, saying, ‘Even now, my knees to my toes are still tingly, which is really strange.’ He explained that just a few weeks prior, he was able to squat 295 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat without falling over. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

I was so shocked to hear that Shiri Appleby, who I loved in Even Stevens, was shot in the face! Apparently, it happened while she was on a fun trip with her husband, Brendan Rooney, to celebrate his birthday – they were out shooting clay pigeons when it happened. It’s just awful, and I’m so glad she’s okay.

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a weapon unsafely. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped her, checked her injuries, and drove her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet narrowly missed her right eye, coming within less than an inch of hitting it directly.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, despite its downsides, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised when doctors began commenting on interviews, suggesting she might have Cushing syndrome, a condition often linked to high cortisol levels or steroid injections. This prompted her to realize she’d been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. She wouldn’t have known about the condition without the online commentary. Schumer recently shared that she’s relieved to learn her form of Cushing syndrome will resolve on its own and that she is healthy, calling it the “greatest news imaginable.”

In March 2022, Hailey Bieber experienced a frightening health scare while having breakfast with her husband, Justin Bieber. She suddenly developed stroke-like symptoms, initially struggling to respond when Justin asked if she was okay. She quickly lost the ability to speak, and the right side of her face began to droop.

Although her speech and facial movement eventually returned, Hailey went to the hospital for evaluation. Tests revealed she had experienced a small blood clot in her brain, which doctors diagnosed as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack).

Further testing at UCLA uncovered a hole in her heart, called a patent foramen ovale (PFO). Doctors determined the blood clot had traveled to her brain through this opening, causing the TIA. Hailey successfully underwent a procedure to close the PFO and is now recovering well.

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affects nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it became increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey shared on Good Morning America that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, adding that they were grateful he was going to be okay. It had been a frightening and unexpected situation, but he was expected to make a full recovery.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the serious health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had initially kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, What Had Happened Was…, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next twenty days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. There, doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that resulted in a stroke.

Twenty days after surgery, on May 4th, Foxx woke up in a wheelchair unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for extensive rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for all the prayers he received, saying he needed every single one.

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running in the first challenge of the NBC competition show, describing the experience as feeling like ‘dying’.

She shared on the show Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather. After that, everything went dark, but she then experienced a bright light, leading her to realize she had died that day.

I was so wrecked, I honestly thought I was dying. Turns out, my muscles were basically dissolving – it’s called rhabdomyolysis, and the doctor explained it like my body was just… giving up. Like it was saying, ‘Okay, that’s it, I’m shutting everything down!’ It was terrifying.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in Game of Thrones, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for The New Yorker. While filming the show, she experienced a sudden and severe headache while at the gym. She described collapsing and being violently ill, realizing something was seriously wrong with her brain.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), a life-threatening stroke caused by a ruptured aneurysm. She immediately underwent surgery to repair it, but the pain was excruciating. During her recovery, she struggled with aphasia, finding it difficult to speak coherently.

Though she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had grown and required a second surgery. This procedure was unsuccessful, leading to a major bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia Clarke is now fully recovered and says she is “at a hundred per cent.”

While she could have been discharged after the stroke, Cori ended up staying in the hospital longer due to complications with lupus and kidney issues. Fortunately, Cori is now recovering well. “I’m doing great,” she said, explaining she’s been working to regain some motor skills, but is otherwise doing fine.

Shailene Woodley struggled with significant health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she described a time when she was losing her hearing, couldn’t walk for more than a few minutes without needing to rest for hours, and experienced constant stomach pain. She faced conflicting diagnoses from different doctors and ultimately decided to take a holistic approach to finding answers, combining traditional medical care with alternative healing methods.

This journey lasted ten years and led to deeper issues, including fear of food and struggles with body image and identity. Woodley explained that the physical discomfort triggered a confusing and challenging mental state.

Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental wellbeing, Shailene is now healthy and feeling much better. She expressed her happiness at having resolved the issues and regained her health.
