As a huge gaming fan, I’ve been watching Call of Duty for years, and it’s incredible how consistently popular it is. Now that Microsoft and Xbox own Activision Blizzard, that’s likely to continue! Every new Call of Duty game is almost guaranteed to be a massive success, consistently topping the sales charts and drawing in tons of players.
The upcoming Call of Duty game, Black Ops 7, will continue the story from last year’s Black Ops 6. While Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 6 is a strong competitor in the first-person shooter market, it hasn’t significantly impacted Call of Duty’s popularity so far.
Ever since its announcement at the Xbox Games Showcase in June, people have been really excited about Black Ops 7, and that excitement has continued to grow. The recent Open Beta in early October played a big part – it let players on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation try the game for free. This not only got fans hyped but also helped the developers find and fix problems before the official launch.
With the November release of Black Ops 7 just around the corner, players everywhere are excited to find out the exact date so they can start playing right away.
As a researcher following the release of Black Ops 7, I’m happy to share that Treyarch, Raven Software, and Xbox Game Studios have finally revealed the official launch dates and times for all platforms. I’ve included a graphic and table detailing this information, and I’ve also tried to clarify the somewhat complicated launch schedule, especially for console players.

The official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is November 14, 2025. While this date has been known for a while, the developers recently announced that the game will launch at different times depending on which platform you’re playing on.
Black Ops 7 will launch on November 13th for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and on PC through the Xbox app. The release will happen gradually, starting at 3:00 a.m. PST and finishing at 10:00 p.m. PST, before becoming available worldwide on those platforms.
As an analyst, I’m noting that players on Steam and Battle.net will have a slightly longer wait for Black Ops 7. The global unlock on those platforms is scheduled for November 13th at 9:00 PM PST. We’ve provided a graphic and table with time zone conversions to help players determine the launch time in their region, and a time zone calculator is also available for those not listed.
Just a reminder that you’ll be able to start downloading Black Ops 7 before it officially releases! Preloads will begin on November 10th at 9:00 a.m. PST worldwide. If you need to figure out what that time is for you, use the time zone calculator linked earlier. Keep in mind that you’ll need to have preordered the game to preload it.

Black Ops 7 is expected to be a big hit when it releases, likely selling very well during the holidays, as previous Call of Duty games have. However, some gamers are starting to feel tired of the franchise after so many yearly releases that haven’t significantly changed the way the game plays.
The game’s initial performance might be slightly impacted, but Black Ops 7 is introducing exciting changes like fresh multiplayer modes, a story campaign designed for co-op play, and character skins that feel true to the series – though they won’t be entirely realistic.
It’s still uncertain what the future holds for Black Ops 7, but it’s likely to be another huge success, drawing in millions of players like previous installments.
Similar to Black Ops 6, Black Ops 7 will be easy for many players to access because it will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. However, this has both positive and negative sides. While offering the game through Game Pass could attract a huge number of players, the previous game, Black Ops 6, saw a significant $300 million decrease in sales due to the service, impacting overall profits.
It’s still uncertain how well Black Ops 7 will do, but it’s likely to be a huge success, attracting its usual millions of players. Even though I’m not a Call of Duty fan, I’ll be following its launch closely. The competition from Battlefield and the impact of services like Game Pass make it a particularly interesting release to watch.
You can now preorder Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 for $69.99 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC (through the Xbox app, Steam, and Battle.net), PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. If you plan to buy the game, preordering lets you start playing as soon as it’s available on November 10th thanks to early access to the game files.
