The retro first-person shooter *Captain Wayne: Vacation Desperation* is coming to PC via Steam on November 25th, according to publisher Silver Lining Interactive and developer Ciaran Games. A final demo is available to play now.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Okay, so I just got my hands on *Captain Wayne: Vacation Desperation* and it’s seriously wild! It’s a super-fast, retro-style shooter where the main character – Captain Wayne – has a *shotgun for an arm*! Yeah, you read that right. The whole game has this cool, hand-drawn, cartoony look, but don’t let that fool you – it’s pretty gory! You basically run and gun through eight different levels, blasting everything in your path to get your stuff back. It’s totally chaotic and I’m hooked. Are *you* ready to jump in?

Embody the Captain!
Okay, so Captain Wayne is seriously something else. This guy, decked out in hot pink, just *loves* eating fish and puffing on cigars, and he’s on a mission – a really wild one! He’s determined to travel the world, rob anyone wealthy he can find, and basically just mess with their lives. He won’t let *anything* stop him, and honestly, it’s a pretty brutal, over-the-top quest!
Okay, so picture this: I was battling this insane Vampire Whale, and, well, let’s just say I lost an arm. No biggie, right? I replaced it with my favorite shotgun, ‘The Captain’s Ol’ Reliable,’ and hopped back on my ship, the S.S. Salty. Now I’m sailing all over the place, exploring every corner of the seven-and-a-half seas!
After a surprise attack by ruthless mercenaries leaves him stranded on Orca Isle and without his ship, Wayne does what he’s known for – taking out everyone involved.
Okay, so I’m packing a seriously powerful double-barreled shotgun and enough explosives to level a small town, and honestly, I’m not exactly in a friendly mood. My mission? Take on The Killer Whales – they’re the most hardcore, ruthless mercenaries you’ll find anywhere on the seven-and-a-half seas. It’s gonna be a brawl!
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO EMBODY THE CAPTAIN? Let’s find out.
Unleash Wayne’s Wrath!
Take down your foes with a powerful double-barreled arm, shred them with wicked chain-gun fingers, throw an explosive bottle, blast them with energy from your hands, or simply punch them into oblivion!
What Are You Waiting For!?
Those orcas aren’t going to eliminate themselves, so it’s time to take from the wealthy to support those in need.
