Carly Rae Jepsen will soon be singing, “So, call me mommy.”

Carly Rae Jepsen, known for her hit song “Call Me Maybe,” has announced she and her husband, Cole M.G.N., are expecting their first child.

Carly posted several black and white photos on Instagram on November 3rd, revealing she and Cole (Cole Marsden Greif-Neill) are expecting a child. The photos show the couple relaxing in bed with Cole tenderly holding Carly’s stomach. She captioned the post simply, “Oh hi baby.”

Cole, age 40, expressed his happiness about the new baby on the way, using heart-eye emojis in a comment.

Just under a month after their wedding at New York City’s Chelsea Hotel on October 4th, this exciting news has been announced. Carly and Cole first met while writing songs together in 2021, but their relationship didn’t become romantic until 2022. They announced their engagement in September 2024, with Carly playfully sharing on Instagram that she was “Very engaged!”

Carly recently revealed that she and her husband, a music producer, were actually surprised they didn’t cry during their wedding ceremony.

She told Vogue in October that they had planned something more formal, but the wedding ended up feeling relaxed and happy. She described walking down the aisle as feeling like a beautiful, surreal dream, thanks to the cheerful light blue backdrop, surrounding wildflowers, and soft lighting.

The singer of “I Really Like You” shared that their favorite part of the day was when they first made eye contact with their partner, adding that they were so focused on each other for the first part of the ceremony, they didn’t notice anyone else around them.

Carly was amazed that her wedding day felt even more wonderful than she and Cole had dreamed.

She said it exceeded their best hopes. They felt a strong connection throughout the experience, and that meant a lot to them.

The Grammy-nominated artist shared that their playlist for guests had a hidden surprise, as they’re a family of musicians.

She explained that they’d secretly asked the DJ to play a few specific songs. That way, wherever they were, if they heard those songs, they’d know to seek each other out.
