Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is Coming to PC and Consoles on October 15th

Konami just dropped a new trailer for the latest Castlevania game, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse! The trailer confirms the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 starting October 15th. It also gives a sneak peek at the game’s 2D, side-scrolling Metroidvania style gameplay. You can watch the trailer below.

The next Castlevania game, Belmont’s Curse, will feature a new, quick-moving heroine from the Belmont family. She’ll be fighting Dracula’s army and venturing into his castle. This installment will give players more freedom to explore compared to previous games.

The new Castlevania game, Belmont’s Curse, was first announced in February. It’s being developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the team behind Dead Cells, and aims to recapture the spirit of classic Castlevania titles. Recent gameplay footage suggests the game might include some RPG elements, with visible damage numbers during combat. While it’s unclear how significant these RPG features will be, previous Castlevania games like Symphony of the Night successfully used character leveling and item collecting to add depth to the gameplay.

As a huge Castlevania fan, I was so excited to hear Konami say that Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is just the start of their plans to bring the series back! They’re celebrating 40 years since the very first Castlevania game came out on NES, and they’ve promised a lot more is coming. They want us to get ready for the return of that classic, spooky Castlevania vibe – and honestly, I couldn’t be happier!
