The popular medical drama Casualty has announced that its new 12-episode story arc, featuring a mysterious virus outbreak in the emergency department, will begin airing soon.
The new season—season 41, called Lethal Legacy—of the medical drama will first air on BBC One on Saturday, April 25th at 8:45pm. You’ll also be able to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer from 6am on the same day they are shown on TV.
The new season begins with a sudden influx of patients suffering from a mysterious virus, overwhelming the emergency department. To maintain order, the army is called in, and Flynn (Olly Rix) is confronted with a secret from his past.
Still grieving, Stevie and Matty find comfort in a surprising place, but this causes a rift between Dylan and his son.
Meanwhile, Jodie, played by Anna Chell, investigates a troubling secret hidden on a nearby estate, going to considerable effort to uncover it.

The BBC says the team is facing a crisis: old conflicts are resurfacing and they’re losing faith in each other. They need to start working together quickly, or everything could fall apart.
This series introduces Colonel Jack Bard (Mark Womack), a powerful and controlling leader whose connection to Flynn and influence over his team could destabilize the ED as past events start to resurface.
Casualty aired its season 40 finale, Learning Curve, on Saturday.
The latest episode included a heartbreaking death and laid the groundwork for major developments with the remaining characters as the show moves into its next season.
