Grey’s Anatomy’s Steven W. Bailey Shares Genetic Disease Diagnosis

I was so saddened to hear that Joe – you know, the owner of the bar all the doctors hung out in on the early seasons of Grey’s Anatomy – has been diagnosed with congenital myasthenia syndrome. It’s a genetic condition that causes muscle weakness, and I’m sending all my best wishes to him. It’s heartbreaking to learn about this, especially considering how much joy his character brought to the show created by Shonda Rhimes.

I have to admit, I really enjoyed Nathaniel Parker as Inspector Lynley in the old BBC series, especially with Sharon Small as Barbara Havers. It’s a bit different now though – Sofia Barclay is taking on the role of Barbara in this new adaptation, and it’s interesting to see her take on the character.

Bret Hanna-Shuford, a performer known for his roles in The Little Mermaid and Wicked, has passed away at the age of 46. He was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and T-Cell Lymphoma several months prior, as announced by his husband, Stephen Hanna-Shuford.
