As a huge fan of cyberpunk, I always found Johnny Mnemonic fascinating. It stars Keanu Reeves as a ‘data courier’ – basically, someone who carries information inside his brain. The catch? He’s got 48 hours to get this information out, or it’ll kill him! The movie follows Johnny as he races against time, with the help of a tough bodyguard named Jane (Dina Meyer), to find the passwords he needs. But he quickly learns he’s being chased by both ruthless criminals and the very people who put the data in his head – everyone wants what he’s carrying, and they’ll do anything to get it.

Fantasy author Brandon Sanderson recently provided a detailed update on his current and future projects. Excitingly, he also revealed he’s actively trying to develop a video game based on his Mistborn series. I just watched the full trailer for Wonder Man, coming to Disney+ on January 27th, and it seems like the crackdown on unregistered superheroes is still very much happening. The Department of Damage Control – that government agency dealing with powered individuals – is clearly still active, and they’re not just going after villains. They’re even targeting people with powers who aren’t actively trying to be heroes, which sets up a really interesting conflict.

While promoting his new spy series, The Copenhagen Test, Simu Liu recently told JoBlo that he thinks his co-star, Melissa Barrera, would be an excellent choice to play Wonder Woman in the DC Universe. Liu, known for his role in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, praised Barrera’s potential for the iconic role.

2026 looks promising for Naruto fans! The series is revisiting the younger versions of its characters, as seen before the events of Naruto: Shippuden. A new illustration from the anime’s designer, Tetsuya Nishio, featuring Naruto and Iruka, hints that this throwback might arrive this year. You can see the illustration below.
