Firebite is an Australian drama series with eight episodes that first aired on December 16, 2021, four years ago. Created by Warwick Thornton and Brendan Fletcher, this AMC+ original didn’t get much attention outside of Australia. The show is set in the fictional mining town of Opal City, based on Coober Pedy, and follows Tyson Walker (Rob Collins) and his adopted daughter Shanika (Shantae Barnes-Cowan) as they try to eliminate the last group of vampires. These vampires are hiding in the old opal mines under the desert. Unlike the vampires in shows like Twilight or Castlevania, the creatures in Firebite aren’t glamorous or heroic – they’re seen as dangerous pests and a long-standing problem that Tyson and Shanika are determined to destroy.

It’s no surprise that members of the Suicide Squad often don’t last long, facing constant danger and death. Even though they’re forced to risk their lives for their country, many of these villains ultimately die acting like heroes, even if unwillingly.

I’m really excited about the new Spawn figure! It’s based on how he originally looked in the comics, and it comes with a ton of cool accessories – a flowing, wired cape, two chains, his spiked club, and even a few different hands and heads. There’s also a special ‘Necroplasm’ effect piece and collectible cards. What I’m most hyped about is the cape; because it’s wired, you can actually pose him in a lot more dynamic ways than with older figures. It’s going to look amazing!

Crunchyroll has revealed the first batch of anime coming in Winter 2026, and it includes several exclusive titles. The Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on March 27th, preserving seven classic Nintendo DS games. The release date was seemingly revealed early by Sony, as the official trailer is currently unlisted.

Japan often celebrates popular anime series with a special raffle system called “Ichiban Juji,” where fans can win exclusive merchandise. To mark the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, the raffle is offering a variety of items from the show. These include figures of the main character, Heero Yuy, as well as models of the iconic mechs. There’s even a fun item: a pen designed to look like the detonator that destroyed one of the series’ biggest robots! You can see a picture of the Gundam Wing pen below. The merchandise will be available in Japan starting January 20th.

Netflix is planning a movie based on the upcoming video game Kingmakers, developed by Redemption Road Games and published by tinyBuild. Interestingly, the game was delayed just before it was supposed to launch. The script is being written by Christopher MacBride, and Netflix worked with 21 Laps and Story Kitchen to secure the rights before the game was even released. Details about the movie are still forthcoming.

Shows like Arrow and Smallville succeed because their creators aren’t afraid to forge their own path. While they draw inspiration from the comics, they don’t feel bound by them. However, another DC series started with a different challenge – it had to continue a story from a very popular and well-known source. Surprisingly, it not only succeeded but also gave us one of the most satisfying conclusions we’ve seen recently, capped off with an exciting cliffhanger.

Currently, Avatar: Fire and Ash has a 70% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 107 reviews. While this is a good score, it’s the lowest of any film in the Avatar series. The original Avatar from 2009 received an 81% rating, and The Way of Water earned 76%. The first two Avatar movies are considered ‘Certified Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes, a designation Fire and Ash hasn’t achieved and won’t unless its score climbs to 75% or higher.

This leader has been instrumental in creating popular PlayStation franchises like Sly Cooper, inFAMOUS, and the new Ghost of Yotei. Sony announced they’ve been collaborating with Fleming throughout the year to guarantee a smooth transition and future success for the studio.
