Renowned anime director Makoto Shinkai, known for his stunningly beautiful films, hints at a return to the big screen in 2025 with an all-new project. Shinkai first made waves with his debut feature, “The Place Promised in Our Early Days,” in 2004, receiving wide acclaim. Since then, he’s consistently delivered one captivating masterpiece after another. His latest triumph was the 2022 release, “Suzume,” which followed the adventures of a high school girl named Suzume as she traveled across Japan to shut doors causing extraordinary natural phenomena.

In the years prior to “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Evangelion,” the iconic anime series “Mazinger Z” held sway, first appearing on screens in the 1970s. This show followed the escapades of a young boy and his mighty robot. Over time, it became a long-running series with numerous sequels. In 2024, a fresh spin-off titled “Grendizer U” hit the airwaves, produced by Gaina studio. In an exciting partnership with Nadaya Fujisan Distillery, they’ve created a special gin. This gin boasts its unique taste derived from pure spring water sourced from Mt. Fuji, and it comes adorned with a stunning new black-painted brush artwork of the Grendizer.
