During a panel at New York Comic Con, Lucasfilm Publishing revealed that a new book, Star Wars: Legacy, will be released on July 28, 2026. Written by Madeleine Roux, the story continues shortly after the events of The Last Jedi, focusing on Rey and Leia’s joint mission to fix the damaged Skywalker lightsaber. The novel will also explore the complex emotions Rey and Leia grapple with regarding Kylo Ren, especially after his descent further into the dark side during the Battle of Crait. As a huge fan of quirky cinema, I was thrilled to see that Alice Lowe’s *Prevenge* is finally on Netflix! This British comedy-slasher, which first came out in 2017 after premiering at Cannes in 2016, is something special. Lowe not only wrote and directed it, but also stars as Ruth, a woman who starts to think her unborn baby is driving her to take revenge after her husband dies. It’s a really bold and unusual film, and honestly, the risks she takes with it completely work. If you’re looking for something a little different, I highly recommend checking it out now that it’s streaming!
