Dr. Seuss’ Estate Had Strict Rules for the How the Grinch Stole Christmas Movie

The live-action remake by Ron Howard of “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” brings joy to many people worldwide during Christmastime, yet its production required some unexpected stipulations. Adapted from Dr. Seuss’ 1957 children’s book and the 1966 animated film, “The Grinch” revolves around the story of the grumpy, Christmas-hating misfit character portrayed by Jim Carrey, who attempts to rob the inhabitants of Whoville of their Christmas on Christmas Eve.

James Gunn Considered Bringing Robert Pattinson’s Batman Into the DCU

Riddle me this: I am vengeance. I am the night. My enemy is a bird who cannot fly, yet our franchise is taking flight. Who am I? If you guessed Robert Pattinson’s Batman, you would be correct — but instead of Matt Reeves’ Epic Crime Saga, The Batman movie might have launched the DC Universe. As the heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran are shepherding the just-relaunched DCU, which counts the animated Creature Commandos and the upcoming Superman movie and Peacemaker season 2 as canon.

While DC Studios produced HBO’s The Penguin with Reeves — as well as the director’s upcoming sequel, The Batman Part II — those projects are Elseworlds, the label used for anything set outside of Gunn and Safran’s new DCU continuity.

One Piece Is Still Streaming for Free (But Not on Crunchyroll)

Enjoying “One Piece” without charge has become reminiscent of Luffy’s quest for the legendary treasure, a goal that might be more myth than reality (perhaps it’s the camaraderie we gather along the way). Crunchyroll has chosen to enclose this iconic anime within a subscription barrier. For “One Piece” enthusiasts, this means upgrading to the streamer’s Premium tier ($7.99 per month). However, there’s another path to watch (nearly) all of “One Piece” without charge.

Did Creature Commandos Just Hint at a Major Detail of the DCU Superman Movie’s Story?

The action-packed series, titled “Creature Commandos,” has officially debuted as the latest franchise within the DC Universe, and true to his promise, showrunner/DC Studios head James Gunn immediately immerses us in a well-established superhero world. From the very first news update in the show, it’s evident that we are in a setting where the Amazons and their mystical island play significant roles on the global political stage, just like oil prices or conflicts in distant lands. The initial two episodes of “Creature Commandos” also make it clear that the occurrences depicted in Gunn’s previous DC productions – namely, the movie “The Suicide Squad” and the TV series “Peacemaker” – are now a part of this new DC Universe continuity.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Won’t Have Path Tracing Support During Early Access Period

As the clock ticks closer to the early access release of “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” for Premium Edition owners, Bethesda has disclosed the action-adventure game’s PC system requirements. Notably, the game will not run on Nvidia RTX cards (or equivalent alternatives), although complete ray tracing support won’t be available during the early access phase of the game.
