As a big Borderlands fan, I was a little worried to hear about performance issues, and it seems Digital Foundry’s testing confirmed them. Basically, the longer you play Borderlands 4 – they’re seeing problems after about an hour – the more the frame rate drops. This is happening on all platforms right now, and it’s definitely noticeable in Performance Mode. They aren’t sure yet, but it sounds like Quality Mode might start to suffer the same way if you play for a really long time too.

Paramount+ offers so many shows and movies that subscribers can easily feel overwhelmed and unsure of what to watch.

As a huge X-Men fan, I’ve always been fascinated by the other mutant groups in Marvel Comics. Beyond the main X-Men team, there’s a ton of interesting squads – some officially sanctioned, others formed in opposition to Professor X’s ideas. I’ve put together a list of what I think are the very best of those non-X-Men mutant teams!

I’m really excited about HYPERFUNK! It’s a game where you play as part of different graffiti crews, all trying to figure out this thing called the Hyper – basically, it’s like an online world within the game. And if you loved the look of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, you’ll probably dig this too – the art style is super similar to Jet Set Radio. Plus, you get to choose how you get around: skateboards, BMX bikes, rollerblades… it looks like a ton of fun!

As the trailer shows, *Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade* is set entirely in the troubled city of Midgar. Jesse, a member of the group Avalanche, explains that Midgar’s power comes from Mako reactors and details the city’s structure. The main enemy in the game is the Shinra Electric Power Company, which operates these reactors. Shinra, the company’s president and CEO, leads the organization, with his son Rufus serving as vice president.

Revan is officially part of the Star Wars universe, but only by name. He was briefly mentioned in a few reference books, like *The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary* and *Shadow of the Sith*. Now, the character has returned in the LEGO Star Wars show, *Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past*. While this show isn’t considered official canon, it’s a really enjoyable series that cleverly blends LEGO play with creative takes on familiar characters-like a Darth Jar Jar or Jedi Vader-all while maintaining a lighthearted and respectful tone towards the Star Wars saga.

Zachary Quinto, who plays Spock, recently contacted director J.J. Abrams to express his support for making a fourth *Star Trek* movie. He told *Collider* he sent Abrams an email this week, saying he believes fans would be thrilled with another film. Quinto feels the team has been discussing it long enough and it’s time to start working on it. He’s actively pushing for the project, believing there are many compelling stories they could tell and that revisiting these beloved characters would be special for both the cast and the audience.

Studio M2 has announced a new season of *GATE*, titled *GATE 2: Tides of Conflict*, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original anime! The *GATE* series, written by Takumi Yanai and published by AlphaPolis, has been incredibly popular, selling over 7.3 million copies (including digital versions) as of June 2024. Known for its mix of military action, political drama, and fantasy, *GATE 2* will return to the beloved world fans already know. Like the game Patapon, players guide a quirky team of creatures called Ratatan on a rhythmic journey to the afterlife. The game features over 100 playable characters and lets up to four players team up online. Early feedback has been very positive, with 89% of 422 user reviews rating it as “Very Positive.”

While Gotham could use more everyday citizens featured in stories, the characters we *do* see truly represent the best of the city. Even with so many corrupt police officers, they should aim to be more like these heroes. And with a new doctor appearing at Arkham in Matt Fraction’s upcoming series-one who seems to be on Batman’s side-hopefully we’ll see more characters like that in the future.
