007 First Light – Gemma Chan announce trailer

I’m really excited about Gemma Chan’s character, Dr. Selina Tan, in *007 First Light*! She’s a super smart academic – a psychology and game theory expert – and apparently plays a huge part in helping Bond become 007. It sounds like she’s a key figure at MI6, and I can’t wait to see her in action!

1999 Game Boy Color Game Returning Very Soon With Re-Release

R-Type DX is a side-scrolling shooting game originally developed by Irem and published by Nintendo. Released in 1999, it was a revamped version of the classic games *R-Type* and *R-Type II*, combining them into a single, colorized experience. *R-Type* first appeared in arcades in 1987 and later came to the original Game Boy in 1991. Its sequel, *R-Type II*, was released in 1989, but unlike the first game, it was never released as a separate, standalone title.

Saros – Nixxes and PlayStation Studios Creative Arts Working With Housemarque

Nixxes is working directly with the team at Housemarque to refine the game’s art and gameplay. Meanwhile, PlayStation Studios Creative Arts is handling the music and sound. Adding to the impressive audio experience is composer Sam Slater, a Grammy Award winner known for his work on projects like *Chernobyl*, *Joker*, and *Mandy*, among others.

Saros is Developed on Unreal Engine 5, Includes “Surreal and Mysterious” Narrative Sequences

So, good news for me and other gamers – the sequel is definitely being built in Unreal Engine 5, which isn’t a huge shock considering the first *Returnal* used Unreal Engine 4. They’re aiming for a smooth 60 FPS on the PS5, but they’ve said it’s still early days, so expect some tweaks, fixes, and improvements as they keep working on it. The gameplay trailer only showed off *one* of the many areas we’ll be exploring, and I’m excited to learn I’ll be using both Soltari weapons – like the Phosphorous Shotgun – *and* some seriously cool Carcosan tech to take down enemies!
