The story unfolds in a world that, on the surface, resembles our own, but here, people’s souls take the form of animal companions known as daemons. The narrative follows a young girl named Lyra, who sets out to find her missing friend, only to become embroiled in a much larger conspiracy. Along the way, she encounters witches, armored polar bears, and various other fantastical creatures. The story is a battle between good and evil, with Lyra at its heart.

I’m referring to the pet simulation game called Nintendogs, which initially debuted in 2005 and recently celebrated its anniversary. After the initial versions were launched on Nintendo DS, there was a sequel featuring new breeds of pets for the 3DS. However, since the release of Nintendogs + Cats in 2011, there’s been a notable silence about this popular pet simulator. There have been whispers about its return, fueled by Nintendo renewing the trademark for the name. With some exciting features on the Switch 2, the timing seems perfect for Nintendogs to reappear.

Sony is planning to decrease the storage capacity of the PS5 Slim model in Europe from 1TB to 825GB starting with the CFI-210 version. Interestingly, the price remains at €499 despite this change. As a result, the new console will have approximately 600GB of usable storage, which is not significantly different from the PS4’s capacity. However, Sony has not been clear about the reasons for this downgrade, but it seems to be an effort to lower costs, though this is only speculation as no official information has been provided yet.

In the interconnected universe Marvel has established, there’s a consistent flow of innovative concepts. An occurrence in one saga can create ripples across others, maintaining the world’s vibrancy. Despite certain periods in Marvel history being characterized by excessive repetition or excessive crossovers, these missteps have not hindered their knack for telling tales that resonate deeply.

Enthusiasts of the Shrek series can look forward to streaming all six films starting this September; however, you’ll need multiple streaming platforms and a bit of patience to watch them all. From September 1st, Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), and Shrek the Third (2007) can be found on both Peacock and Netflix, with Netflix also hosting Shrek Forever After (2010). The Puss in Boots movie series, featuring Antonio Banderas as the agile cat character, will also become available this month. Starting September 1st, you’ll find Puss in Boots (2011) on Netflix. Lastly, Peacock will start streaming the franchise’s latest and sixth installment, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022), from September 10th.
