Hideo Kojima May Work on a Film After Finishing OD and Physint

After they’ve been released, it appears that Kojima might finally get the chance to direct a movie. In an interview with Brut (translated by Genki on Twitter), he mentioned that he would look into the state of affairs at Kojima Productions following the launch of both titles and potentially move forward with a film project if possible.

The MCU Might Have Just Revealed Doctor Doom’s Successor

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Avengers films, it’s not been a successful run for the antagonists. Loki and Ultron are quickly defeated, and even Thanos, who decimates half of life for five years, meets his end twice at the hands of Earth’s strongest heroes. Luckily for Doctor Doom, the MCU has set up a character on a dark path that may lead them to emulate the villain once the MCU concludes this journey for him.

This Amazing Sci-Fi Show Was Never Finished, and It Needs a Revival

Widely regarded as one of the best science fiction TV series ever produced, “The Expanse” made its debut in 2015 on SYFY and ran for three seasons before being canceled. Fortunately, Amazon Prime Video stepped in to prevent its demise, renewing the show for an additional three seasons. Set three centuries into the future, “The Expanse” portrays a universe where humanity has expanded across the Solar System, dividing into three distinct factions: Earth, Mars, and the Asteroid Belt. The series follows the adventures of captain James Holden (Steven Strait) and his eclectic group of space explorers aboard their ship, the “Rocinante,” as they become entangled in escalating tensions between the factions and encounter a mysterious force known as the Protomolecule. As of 2022, only six out of nine James S.A. Corey novels have been adapted into the show, leaving many storylines unresolved. It is hoped that “The Expanse” will return at some point in the future to complete its compelling narrative arc.

Phase 5 Broke an Unfortunate MCU Record (But Marvel Studios Can Learn From It)

It’s evident that Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had some notable disparities if we delve beyond the overall earnings and focus on individual performances. While two films, notably Deadpool and Wolverine, amassed a colossal $1.34 billion collectively, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 brought in an impressive $845.6 million, other titles underperformed significantly compared to expectations. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania managed $476.1 million, Captain America: Brave New World earned $415.1 million, Thunderbolts made $381.9 million despite positive critical and fan reception, all falling short of profitability. The most striking disappointment was The Marvels, which ended its run with a disappointing $206.1 million worldwide, setting a new record as the biggest box office flop in the MCU.

As a fan excitedly speaking, I can now add it to my wishlist on both the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store, even though it’s a free-to-play game! The Xbox version offers cross-platform multiplayer and co-op play, allowing me to team up with players from PlayStation and PC. Additionally, it supports 4K Ultra HD resolution, and surprisingly, console versions will also support keyboards and mice for those who prefer them. On the PlayStation side, they’ve even mentioned compatibility with the DualSense controller and Singstar Microphone! What a unique feature set!

Everything Coming to Netflix This Week (July 7th)

On Wednesday, the post-apocalyptic action film “Mad Max: Fury Road” is set to join Netflix’s collection, significantly enhancing their selection of action movies. However, it’s unfortunate that the prequel movie, “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” will depart from Netflix a week after “Fury Road” debuts.

Friday the 13th Part 2 Is a Classic, But Some of It Makes No Sense

Step into the sequel of 1981’s “Friday the 13th Part 2”, which didn’t quite match the box office success of the first installment. However, it still managed to generate a substantial profit for Paramount, paving the way for “Friday the 13th Part III”. Despite being the least strong in the initial four-movie series, “Part III” is undeniably the most memorable. It’s peculiar, but that’s filmmaking for you! However, while “Part III” may be the weakest link in the robust chain of four films, “Part 2” struggles to make sense. The reasons are several, and yes, one of them involves Jason’s pulse.

Techland Developing New Call of Juarez Title – Rumor

Under the code name “Project Cornerstone,” there was a game conceptually similar to Star Wars’ Force, with the ability to move objects and even pause time. However, it seems this game took heavy inspiration from the Force. The project faced issues due to questionable leadership and transitioning to Unreal Engine, but the definitive cause for its cancellation remains unclear.
