Directed by Nia DaCosta, who also directed The Marvels, Hedda offers a fresh, modern take on Henrik Ibsen’s classic play, Hedda Gabler (1891). Tessa Thompson, known for her role as Valkyrie in the Marvel movies, stars as Hedda, a wealthy and troubled woman who cares for little beyond her own pleasures. During a grand party at her home, Hedda reunites with a former lover, Eileen Lovborg (Nina Hoss), setting off a chain of dramatic and life-altering events. Critics have lauded the film, giving it a 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This second collaboration between DaCosta and Thompson is a thrilling and impressive movie that deserves wider recognition.

The popular villains, the Daleks, are back in the latest audio drama, Bernice Summerfield: The Dalek Eternity 3, starring Lisa Bowerman and Nicholas Briggs. This time, they’ve teamed up with Sidney Chen, the nephew of a powerful enemy from a classic Doctor Who story. It appears the Daleks have a new scheme in motion, and it’s up to time-traveler Bernice Summerfield to stop them and their new ally.

A study by Ampere Analysis looked at 15 game remakes and 27 remasters released between January 2024 and September 2025. They found that players worldwide spent, on average, 2.2 times more money on remakes than on remasters. In total, 72.4 million players on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam spent $1.4 billion on these updated games, with most of that money going towards full remakes rather than remasters.

Robert Pattinson’s career has been gaining momentum, starting with his leading role in The Batman, which he’ll return to for a sequel. He’s also joined Denis Villeneuve for Dune: Part Three. Given the success of the previous Dune film, expectations for the sequel are high, and Pattinson’s involvement is generating even more buzz. As a huge fantasy fan, I’ve noticed a show’s first episode is crucial. A strong start can really set things apart, especially in a genre where everything has to make sense. It’s not enough to just have a cool idea and a few surprises; a great fantasy series needs a world that feels real, a magic system that’s consistent, and characters I actually care about. When a pilot episode nails all that right from the beginning, it’s a really good sign – some of the best fantasy shows I’ve seen really deliver everything you need in that first hour.

Over the years, the two game series have influenced each other. Mizuguchi eventually created his own version of the classic puzzle game Tetris, called Tetris Effect, and it used many of the same ideas as his earlier game, Lumines.

A physical copy of the game will be released for PlayStation 5 in Europe. You’ll be able to find the standard edition at most retailers, but the Deluxe Edition will only be available from the Red Art Games online store. The Deluxe Edition comes with special packaging – an exclusive sleeve with different artwork – and a set of magnets.

Putting it into practice is much harder than it looks. While lush forests and glowing caves are beautiful places to visit, the towering, lava-surrounded spire isn’t quite as appealing. One particularly challenging part of the game has Samus Aran carefully crossing a huge chain during a blizzard. And then there are the enemies – from wolf-like beasts and tree-climbing creatures to terrifying multi-armed monsters – all waiting for you, along with strange, hostile robots called Psy-Bots, who aren’t happy to see you.
