To bring fans up to date, Makima has played a significant role in the anime’s adaptation since her debut in season one. She often treats Denji like a pet, making the Chainsaw Devil seem almost powerless in her presence as he obeys her commands easily. Throughout the first season, it became apparent that Chainsaw Man‘s employer didn’t reciprocate Denji’s feelings for her and was hiding some sinister secrets. In the recently released trailer, you can see the arrival of Reze, a new enigmatic character who seems to have a soft spot for Denji. Unlike Makima, Reze appears more affectionate towards Denji, suggesting that the upcoming movie in October might put him in a tough position as he faces a challenging decision between the two women.

According to director Gerard Johnstone, there will be an uncensored version of the film with additional scenes not included in the original release. The theatrical version is intended to run under two hours, but the extended cut will feature content that didn’t fit into the initial release. While he doesn’t specify the nature of these extra scenes, he mentions that some of the footage from the trailers were created exclusively for promotional purposes and not part of the actual movie.

In simpler terms, when comparing power levels between Marvel and DC characters on a per-capita basis, it’s clear that individual heroes from DC, like Superman, have greater base strength compared to their Marvel counterparts, such as Thanos, Hulk, or Thor. This means that these DC heroes can take down teams of Marvel characters due to their inherent power. For instance, Thanos might be capable of immense strength, but he doesn’t stand a chance against Superman because Superman is simply stronger from the get-go. Similarly, while the Hulk has potential for infinite strength, he starts off much weaker than Superman, giving the latter an edge in knocking out the Hulk before he becomes too powerful. The same goes for Thor; his magic might make a difference, but Superman is faster and stronger, making it challenging for Thor to win. However, it’s important to note that there are Marvel characters who could still defeat Superman; it’s just that these seven have the best chances of doing so easily.
