The PlayStation Store on PS5 now displays a game’s original launch price. This is in addition to a feature added last year that shows the lowest price a game has reached in the past 30 days. This information helps players see if a game has a permanent price reduction and how good current deals actually are.

It’s interesting to see games that weren’t originally intended as ongoing services, but seem built for that model. They often include features like character progression, things to do over and over, and collectible items – all elements commonly found in games designed to be constantly updated. These titles typically get a few expansions and then stop receiving major updates, but with the right approach, they could successfully become long-term, evolving games without sacrificing what makes them special.
Last year, Warner Bros. Games made some changes, closing down several of its studios and cancelling projects. This included shutting down Monolith Productions, which was developing a Wonder Woman game, and also closing Player First Games, the studio behind MultiVersus, as well as WB Games San Diego.
