Unfortunately, there weren’t many updates regarding how often player-versus-player combat happens, though they are still studying player numbers on maps for all skill levels.

Reports from Deadline indicate that Scream 7 earned about $64.1 million domestically in its opening weekend, making it the highest-grossing debut in the series’ history. This is a significant increase from the $44.4 million earned by Scream VI during its first weekend. Globally, Scream 7 has already brought in around $97.2 million, surpassing the total lifetime earnings of Scream 4 (without adjusting for inflation). Before the weekend, experts predicted a domestic opening of $45 to $50 million.

I’ve noticed that genuinely expansive open-world shooter games are surprisingly uncommon. Many games blend genres, and even popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 4 allow you to complete the game mostly using melee weapons, which detracts from the focus on shooting. While Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a beautiful example of the genre, it feels like there should be many more games like it. What I’m really hoping for is a large, role-playing game where guns are the central focus of everything – how you fight, how you improve, and even how your character is defined.

As a huge Pixar fan, I was thrilled to see that Toy Story is now streaming on Hulu! It’s amazing to revisit the movie that started it all – the one that showed us what toys get up to when we’re not around. And that’s not all! Hulu also added Finding Nemo, which is such a heartwarming adventure about a dad’s incredible journey, and Ratatouille, the adorable story of a rat who dreams of becoming a chef. It’s a great time to be a Pixar lover!

The new thriller, Dead of Winter, released in September 2025, features a powerful performance from Emma Thompson alongside Judy Greer and Laurel Marsden. The film is both suspenseful and frightening, telling the story of Barb (Thompson), a woman overwhelmed by grief who becomes lost in a blizzard while driving near a Minnesota lake. Forced to seek shelter at a secluded cabin, she discovers a young woman (Marsden) being held captive by a dangerous couple (Greer and Marc Menchaca). With no way to contact help, Barb quickly understands she’s the only hope for anyone to escape alive.

This week also brings new releases including Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC, Homura Hime for PC, and Scott Pilgrim EX for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The idea was a spin-off within the God of War universe—a continuously updated, live-service game where Atreus finds himself in the underworld, Hades. The game would have featured players controlling various iterations of the characters, and developers considered including some form of cooperative play and ongoing support after launch, though these plans weren’t finalized.

It seemed like the series was over, but recent reports suggest that’s not entirely true. Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, who previously stated the series was finished, has discovered some new development work. However, it appears this work isn’t for a brand new game, but rather a Director’s Cut of Legion with added content.

For a long time, fans of Star Trek have speculated that Klingon males have three testicles, though this was never officially confirmed in the show’s storylines. Now, the recent Star Trek: Starfleet Academy episode, “The Life of the Stars,” has solved the mystery. A cadet named Jay-Den (Karim Diané) mentions Klingons having four testicles, settling the debate.
