Unfortunately, the long wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 continues, meaning we have to find other ways to satisfy our desire for Elder Scrolls adventures. Luckily, over the last ten years, many games inspired by the Elder Scrolls have emerged. These range from large, independent projects to major AAA titles – one of which was a strong contender for RPG of the Year at the 2025 Game Awards, but didn’t win. Hopefully, these games, and others like them, will keep us entertained until The Elder Scrolls 6 is finally released.

Although easier to pick up than the main series games, choosing the right gear is crucial. Armor is obtained as complete sets, and the resistances and special abilities each set provides are very important – here are some of the best options.

Crimson Desert shares a lot in common with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, especially the way it makes you learn skills before you can actually use them. Beyond that, both games feature a world that reacts to your actions, offer very little guidance, and boast huge, open environments ripe for exploration. In fact, one game, Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, is so exceptional—far surpassing Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, and all previous titles—that I’m not sure Bethesda can compete with it when The Elder Scrolls 6 finally arrives.

I often wonder which other games would be funny with a character dropping dad jokes or one-liners. It’s not about ruining a game’s serious atmosphere – writers put a lot of thought into that! – but just… why not try it? Picture Leon from Resident Evil suddenly appearing in Elden Ring. Elden Ring is a bleak and tragic world full of incredibly difficult bosses. It’s a place of ruin where nobody jokes around. But Leon wouldn’t let that stop him.

The excitement around Elden Ring continues, and now a new partnership promises to thrill dedicated collectors of the popular game.

He joked that he didn’t want to include The Elder Scrolls 6 when considering development times. He pointed out that Starfield took a long time to create, but most of their games are relatively quick to develop. He explained that Starfield took so long because it was a completely new game, not a continuation of an existing series. The development process was also complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic and Bethesda being acquired by Microsoft.

On March 17th, Bethesda revealed that Starfield is coming to PlayStation 5, along with significant updates and its last expansion. Now that development of the sci-fi role-playing game is complete, the studio is moving on to new projects, according to Todd Howard.
