Last February, Xbox’s Obsidian Entertainment released Avowed, a new fantasy role-playing game. While it wasn’t their best game so far – reviews averaged between 77 and 81 on Metacritic – it was still one of the better RPGs of the year, though not a contender for the top spot. Originally available only on PC and Xbox Series X, Avowed is now also on PS5, and players there are enjoying it. It currently has a 4.65 out of 5 rating on the PlayStation Store, based on over 1,000 reviews.
It’s still unclear which of the two FromSoftware games – Elden Ring or The Duskbloods – will be released on the Switch 2 first. While Elden Ring has been available on other platforms since 2022, making it a likely candidate, the delay of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition now opens the door for The Duskbloods to potentially arrive on the Switch 2 first, which wouldn’t be a bad thing.
