Players of the RPG Where Winds Meet are discovering incredibly creative ways to interact with the game’s characters. According to PC Gamer, they’ve managed to get NPCs to share potato and ketchup recipes, create a Beijing travel plan, and even convince a guard they’re expecting his child!
The game’s interface is really frustrating and confusing, like trying to find your way through Gatwick airport after a few drinks. Plus, it has a paid battle pass that constantly pops up, and way too many different currencies and upgrade systems to manage. It’s a lot to keep track of!
Unlike most online role-playing games, important abilities in Where Winds Meet aren’t always obvious or easy to find. Many skills are hidden within side quests and random encounters – for example, you learn the powerful Celestial Seize skill by defeating a con artist at Heaven’s Pier.
Initially, it seemed like you needed a separate Steam account to create another character. But there’s a workaround – you can actually create a new character without deleting your existing one and facing a 14-day waiting period.
If you’re unhappy with the character you created, can you start a new one? Is it possible to begin the game again from the very beginning?
I’m not a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto, but it’s clear fans are really let down whenever its release date is delayed. I was a bit disappointed myself when Witchbrook announced it wouldn’t be coming out in Winter 2025 as planned. With so many games being announced with estimated release dates only to be pushed back, I get why Bethesda is being so secretive about The Elder Scrolls 6. Even though Todd Howard has said it’s still a ways off, I doubt we’ll get many details until right before it comes out. And frankly, I think that’s a good approach for more games.
The location of the Monk’s Die (also known as the Blessed Die) is hidden, and clues are given through a riddle shared by Monk Salvator and Gregory. The riddle states: “It’s found where sunlight doesn’t reach, but vines still grow. Where new wood rests on decayed wood… and then it’s the fourth one from the left.” To hear this riddle, you must first beat the monks in a dice game. You can challenge them to a game for the Blessed Die by offering 30 Groschen. If you win, they will share the riddle with you.
In the side quest ‘Silver Tongue’ of Where Winds Meet, you’ll encounter ‘Gift of Gab,’ a unique challenge that replaces combat with a debate. It’s a mini-game where you use dialogue cards to damage your opponent’s health. The debate is governed by an inspiration system, which controls how often you can play cards. Successfully reducing your opponent’s health to zero wins you the match.
What’s really great is that you can customize your character in Where Winds Meet even after you’ve created them. Simple changes like hair and clothing are free, but if you want a complete makeover, you’ll need a somewhat rare item.
Slavek’s purse is hidden in a bush near the construction site, Northwest of the well behind the Monastery. Look for the bush on the map, then walk around it until you’re facing South. The purse is a small, wine-colored pouch partially hidden in the dirt and leaves.
