Based on Courtney Summers’ novel, This Is Not a Test feels like yet another unnecessary zombie movie, despite its thoughtful look at how society and morals crumble when young people are forced to survive. The film’s confusing, jumpy storyline aims to say something meaningful about the pressures of growing up and how they affect young people’s innocence and values, but ultimately falls short.
As of February 17th, The Shape of Water is currently number two on HBO Max’s list of most popular movies. It’s joined by other well-known films like The Smashing Machine and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, which is currently the most-watched title on the platform, according to FlixPatrol.

Nexus Point News reports that the upcoming movie Man of Tomorrow could see budget cuts at DC Studios. These restrictions might stop the studio from being able to hire some actors and filmmakers they want for the project.
A deleted scene recently shared with IGN reveals a key moment cut from the theatrical release of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. The scene features a face-to-face encounter between Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal (played by Jack O’Connell) and the Alpha infected character, Samson (Chi Lewis-Parry), which many viewers felt was missing from the film.
“It was almost like a, ‘Oh my God, wait,’ when we were talking about stuff, it came up, and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, wait a second. I’ve done that. I could, maybe.’ So maybe, and I certainly kept in touch with the folks at Bad Robot and J.J. [Abrams], and we’ve certainly discussed different things over the years, not Cloverfield related,” Trachtenberg explained.
Watching The Apothecary Diaries, I’m struck by how well everything comes together. Each episode generally follows a really effective pattern: Maomao uses her unique knowledge to quickly get to the heart of whatever’s going on. But the show really surprised me with one episode in particular – it cleverly shifted into horror territory, and it worked brilliantly. It was a fantastic change of pace and a definite highlight.

Take Tender Mercies, for instance, which won him an Oscar. It’s a beautifully acted movie, but the story moves very slowly – not a lot happens.
