The new film, Crime 101, unfolds gradually, building suspense in a subtle way – much like a slowly simmering stew. In a time when most movies rely on quick cuts and constant action, this film’s deliberate pace is a welcome change. It demonstrates that you can create real tension without overwhelming the audience. It’s confidently itself, a refreshing contrast to the fast-paced, explosive action films that stars like Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Halle Berry are known for.

The movie Crime 101 starts with Mike pulling off a bold, yet meticulously planned robbery. He’s not a violent criminal, but rather someone who is efficient and thinks things through. Even when things go wrong, he remains calm and finds a way to adapt. He’s a clever thief, going so far as to wear a ski mask and colored contacts to hide his face. When the police, led by Detective Lou Lubesnick, arrive to investigate, Lubesnick seems almost impressed with Mike’s methods. He excitedly tells his partner, “He has principles, and he follows them!”

The new play, Stranger Things: The First Shadow, is a prequel to the popular series, revealing the backstory of Henry Creel and how he became the villain Vecna. It first opened in London’s West End on December 14th, and then came to New York City’s Marquis Theatre last April. However, the production will be changing in the near future.

Faehnor Online is a recently released MMORPG, available on Steam since early February. It’s set in a fantasy world and is currently in early access, meaning you can download and play it for free through Steam. While it shares similarities with other popular MMOs, Faehnor Online offers a unique experience by removing traditional classes and quest markers, and emphasizing exploration without relying on guided navigation.

The movie Zoom is based on a book by Jason Lethcoe and stars Tim Allen as Jack Shepard, a former superhero. When Jack’s long-lost brother—thought to be dead for three decades—threatens to return through a tear in dimensions, the government calls Jack back into action. He’s asked to assemble a new team, called Team Zenith, made up of four unlikely young heroes, and together they become a team that no one expects much from.

Mike Flanagan became well-known after creating The Haunting of Hill House, and has since directed several popular horror films and series. However, his most frightening movie actually came out in 2016, before he gained widespread recognition with his Netflix success.

According to AIPT Comics, DC Comics will be reprinting almost all of its Absolute Universe series in a short period. Starting March 4th, a massive 35 of these comics will be back in stores with new printings, giving fans a chance to collect them all.

It’s called Safe Houses, and it’s being written by Gideon Raff, who you might know from Homeland. A group of people take refuge in a local grocery store, but as time passes, the situation inside becomes as dangerous as the threat outside. With society breaking down, some survivors show courage and compassion, while others succumb to fear and mob mentality, becoming just as dangerous as the monsters in the fog.
