Stephen King’s novel continued the story from The Shining, set many years after the terrifying events at the Overlook Hotel. The book follows Danny Torrance as an adult, now battling addiction and the lingering effects of his childhood trauma. While Mike Flanagan’s film adaptation didn’t gain immediate recognition, it proved to be a welcome addition to the world of Stephen King, expanding on the story of the original, and initially divisive, film The Shining.

Even though Law & Order has had many successful series and is a well-known show, even its biggest fans would likely agree that other legal dramas are better. Simply combining police work and courtroom scenes in one episode isn’t enough to make the original series stand out anymore.

According to Deadline, the action comedy Twisted Metal is coming back for a third season. Peacock says the show’s second season was a huge hit, racking up over 993 million minutes of viewing time – making it their second most popular returning original series. Combined with strong reviews – the second season currently has a 92% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes – the renewal isn’t surprising.

It’s nearly impossible to know about every Hidden Mickey at Disney World, but I was particularly surprised by one I hadn’t noticed before. For just a short time each year, on November 18th, a unique Hidden Mickey appears in the queue for Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at Magic Kingdom. Attractions Magazine managed to capture a photo of it before it vanished.

Netflix is adapting Agatha Christie’s classic 1929 novel, The Seven Dials Mystery, into a series called Seven Dials. Fans are eagerly anticipating the show, especially because most previous adaptations of Christie’s work were produced by the BBC. Having it on Netflix means a global audience can enjoy what might be the biggest mystery of 2026.

Featuring Craig Robinson, Simu Liu, and Cristin Milioti, the movie In Your Dreams takes a surprising turn halfway through when it’s revealed that The Sandman isn’t a hero, but the villain. He’s been giving people dreams that come true, but at a dangerous cost – they fall into comas. Stevie experiences this firsthand, entering a coma to live out a perfect fantasy. Luckily, with help from Elliot and their parents, Stevie manages to escape The Sandman’s dream, and they discover the magical book responsible for everything.

In season 2, episode 1 of Landman, we meet TL, an older man living in a retirement home. He walked with a limp, probably from years of physical labor, and had a gruff personality. He was often rude to the nurses if they disturbed him while he was watching the sunset, which he clearly loved. The episode leaves viewers wondering about TL’s true identity and his connection to Tommy.

The enduring appeal of Miami Vice is evident in several attempts to revive the series, including the 2006 movie directed by Michael Mann. Now, rumors suggest Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan are being considered to star in a potential reboot, taking on the roles originally played by Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas.

The first season of Twisted Metal, featuring Neve Campbell, Thomas Haden Church, wrestler Samoa Joe, and Will Arnett as Sweet Tooth, quickly became a popular show on Peacock. The second season, which premiered the following July, introduced new characters and put even more emphasis on the dangerous competition.

Audiences are starting to tire of Disney’s live-action remakes, although some, like the new Lilo & Stitch, still perform very well at the box office, while others, like the recent Snow White, have struggled. Disney is continuing some stories with animated sequels, such as Frozen and Zootopia, and plans to adapt Tangled into a live-action film. But Moana is getting both a live-action remake and a new animated series. The question is whether this approach will maximize profits from Moana, or if it risks audiences becoming oversaturated with the brand. Ultimately, that’s the primary reason Disney is rushing to remake Moana.
