I remember when Vin Diesel first blew me away as Riddick! It was way back in 2000, and honestly, the movie was a bit of a wild ride – some people loved it, others weren’t so sure. Everyone’s focused on how Avengers: Doomsday is leading into Avengers: Secret Wars, but Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also a crucial movie for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will continue Tom Holland’s story as Spider-Man, and it might also hint at what comes after the current Multiverse Saga concludes.

The series concluded with a thrilling two-hour finale, but it’s unclear if it provided a satisfying ending for most viewers. It’s difficult to gauge reactions because online reviews are unreliable. Unlike previous episodes which received overwhelmingly negative reviews, the finale faces a different issue: immediately after its release, IMDb was flooded with numerous lengthy, remarkably similar reviews.

At New York Comic-Con 2025, Marvel TV’s Brad Winderbaum hinted that X-Men ’97 could continue beyond its already confirmed three seasons. While not an official announcement, Marvel Studios is already discussing potential fourth and fifth seasons – a first for the studio’s streaming shows. This indicates strong consideration for extending the series.
