Sardinia is a complicated man – a recovering alcoholic, a Vietnam War veteran, and struggling with a heart condition. He doesn’t seem the type to be performing onstage; you’d expect him to be withdrawn and troubled. Yet, we first encounter him as ‘Lightening,’ a performer in a tribute act circuit alongside acts like Buddy Holly, James Brown, and Patsy Cline (played by Kate Hudson). He immediately connects with the Patsy Cline performer, and together they form a Neil Diamond tribute band called ‘Lightening and Thunder,’ eventually falling in love and getting married.

The new Jack Ryan action movie continues the story from the end of season 4 and will be released in theaters – a first for the franchise. This film, starring Krasinski, kicks off a fresh direction for Jack Ryan, blending the show’s contemporary style with the immersive experience only a big-screen release can offer.

I recently checked out Takara Tomy’s Transformers Missing Link C-09 Cybertron Hero Set, and it’s a cool two-pack that reimagines classic characters. They’ve taken the best design elements from different versions of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper to create updated action figures – a real throwback for long-time fans. You can already pre-order them, and they’re expected to ship in Spring 2026.

Jordan Peele’s company playfully responded to rumors of him directing a ‘Blade’ reboot with an eye emoji on social media. They’ve since jokingly dismissed the theories, saying people jumped to conclusions, but the idea of Peele taking on a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie still excites many. Personally, though, I’m hoping he doesn’t.

In November, rumors started circulating that Powell and Randolph might be dating after they were seen together in Texas, enjoying a night of dancing. Although neither has confirmed a relationship, a source told Us Weekly that they’re casually seeing each other and plan to ring in the New Year together with a group of friends.

There’s a lot of excellent live-action fantasy available, but don’t forget about animated options! Netflix’s Arcane has delivered two fantastic seasons, a sequel to The Dragon Prince called The Dragon King is coming soon, and Avatar: The Last Airbender is being revived on Paramount+. Plus, fans of fantasy have even more to look forward to – 2026 will bring back what many consider to be the best fantasy series on television.

Karl Urban recently told Entertainment Weekly that filming Mortal Kombat II came at a good time, right after he finished working on The Boys. However, he said that preparing for the video game movie was much more physically demanding than he expected, and he found it more challenging than enjoyable. He went on to explain:

Prime Video has only offered the first seasons of Landman and Mayor of Kingstown, but this has been a great benefit for Prime subscribers. It allowed them to try out the shows before committing to a Paramount+ subscription, where all seasons are available. This has been particularly useful for viewers interested in the shows, providing a convenient way to catch up on Prime Video.

In addition to Tom Hanks, the film Sully features Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Anna Gunn, Autumn Reeser, Holt McCallany, and Jamey Sheridan. It received one Academy Award nomination for Best Sound Editing, and Tom Hanks was also nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award for his performance. Sully earned close to $244 million in theaters and currently holds an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
