Avengers: Doomsday Writer Wants Glen Powell As Fan-Favorite Hero & It Would Lead To Thanos’ Best Return

At the conclusion of the Infinity Saga, Iron Man eliminated the villain Thanos and his entire army. While animated versions of Thanos have shown up in a few Marvel TV series since then, the main version of the character hasn’t appeared in any recent Marvel movies or shows. However, if actor Jonathan Powell joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a powerful cosmic hero, that could potentially bring Thanos back into the picture.

Ian Shorr, who previously wrote the script for Antoine Fuqua’s ‘Infinite,’ has penned the new script. Tim Miller, known for his visual effects work and later directing ‘Deadpool,’ will direct. He also directed ‘Terminator: Dark Fate,’ which aimed to revive the franchise but wasn’t a success – though it wasn’t the worst Terminator film ever made (looking at you, ‘Genysis’!). More recently, Miller created the critically acclaimed animated anthology series ‘Love, Death & Robots’ on Netflix.

Connolly – a continuation of the story from his book “Layer Cake,” which starred a pre-James Bond Daniel Craig in a 2004 film. However, this new film will be a completely separate story, not a sequel, spin-off, or continuation of any previous adaptations of Connolly’s work.

World War Z Gets a Free Streaming Home

Starting November 1st, you can watch World War Z for free on Pluto TV. The movie was a box office success, earning $540 million globally despite a production budget between $190 and $269 million. It currently has a 67% rating from critics and a 72% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Brad Pitt plays Gerry Lane, a former UN investigator who finds himself stuck in a Philadelphia traffic jam – which quickly turns out to be caused by a full-blown zombie apocalypse.

REVIEW: “Ballad of a Small Player” (2025)

Despite strong performances from Farrell and beautiful visuals by Berger, the movie ultimately struggles because of its confusing script. Adapting Lawrence Osborne’s 2014 novel, the screenwriter attempted to simplify a complex story, but the film quickly becomes overly complicated after a promising start. It begins well, establishing the story and atmosphere, but soon shifts from intriguing to frustrating.

David Krumholtz, who plays Zor-El in the upcoming Supergirl movie, recently spoke with Nerdtropolis about how the film will closely follow the Woman of Tomorrow graphic novel it’s based on. He confirmed that the movie will be very faithful to the source material, and also revealed that Jason Momoa will be playing Lobo in the film. Essentially, the movie will combine the story from the comic book with the character of Lobo.
