The new Predator movie, Badlands, from 20th Century Studios, is currently showing in US cinemas. Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, the film features Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as the Predator, Dek, and Elle Fanning as a synthetic human, Thia. This is Trachtenberg’s third film in the Predator series, following 2022’s Prey and the upcoming 2025 release, Predator: Killer of Killers.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, the creators of South Park discussed the success of their latest seasons. They explained that Seasons 27 and 28, which aired in July and October of this year, weren’t intended to be politically focused. Instead, they were a reaction to the way politics had become deeply ingrained in popular culture during Donald Trump’s second term.

Before the planned release of The Kang Dynasty, audiences were introduced to Jonathan Majors’ character and his different versions in Loki and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Ahead of the third episode of Mayor of Kingstown Season 3, I spoke with actor Lennie James about his new role as Frank Moses. Moses is a Detroit gangster who comes to Kingstown to set up shop. While he initially seems friendly, the episode reveals his ruthless side when he orders an attack on a rival gang using a flamethrower.

David Michôd’s new film, Christy, starring Sydney Sweeney, Ben Foster, Merritt Wever, and Katy O’Brian, surprisingly earned $1.3 million globally during its opening weekend, despite an estimated production cost of $30 to $40 million. Sweeney has previously starred in successful films; Anyone But You made $220 million and Immaculate grossed $35.1 million – both performed well considering their budgets.

Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of Stranger Things, recently discussed the show’s final season with Entertainment Weekly. They revealed that the first episodes will begin airing at the end of November and talked about storylines they previously decided to scrap. Matt Duffer mentioned that they once planned to kill off a significant character, stating:

Previously, The Young People had already cast Tatiana Maslany, known for Orphan Black, and Nico Parker from How to Train Your Dragon. Now, Nicole Kidman is joining the project, marking her return to the horror genre for the first time since the 2001 film The Others, directed by Alejandro Amenábar. Details about the plot of The Young People haven’t been revealed yet.

According to Variety, Netflix has officially approved a sequel to A Different World, and original stars Kadeem Hardison and Jasmine Guy will return to their roles.
