Peter Dinklage, famous for playing Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones, is joining the cast of Alien: Earth for its second season, according to Deadline. Details about his character are currently being kept under wraps.
I was really surprised to hear the news about Sony Pictures. Apparently, they’re going through some restructuring and letting go of a few hundred people out of their 12,000 employees. It’s already happening, and they’re saying it’ll continue for a few months. One of the bigger names leaving is Colin Davis, who was a pretty important guy in comedy development over there – an EVP, no less. It’s always tough to see folks lose their jobs in the industry, and it feels particularly unsettling at Sony right now.
I’m still so shocked and saddened to hear about Rob Reiner. It feels like a huge loss for Hollywood. He created so many films that I absolutely love – things like This Is Spinal Tap, When Harry Met Sally…, and The Princess Bride, just to name a few! He really had a gift for making movies that stuck with you. I especially loved how he brought Stephen King’s stories to life with films like Stand By Me and Misery – he was the best at capturing the feel of King’s work, honestly. And it’s amazing when you consider everything else he did as a producer too. He’ll be deeply missed.

According to FlixPatrol, the Frasier reboot is proving popular on Paramount+ in several countries, including Australia and Canada. It reached the top 4 in both Ireland and the UK. The show is also doing well on demand, climbing to No. 7 in the Apple TV store in the U.S.
According to reports, Cameron Diaz will return for a sequel to Troop Beverly Hills, which TriStar Pictures is making. Clea DuVall, known for Happiest Season, will direct the film. Diaz will also produce the sequel with Laurence Mark (known for The Greatest Showman) and Katherine Power, her business partner from the Avaline wine company. The rest of the cast hasn’t been revealed yet.
Ghibli recently released a collection of tote bags featuring designs from their beloved films, including My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle. Out of the three original designs, only the canvas bag with the “Flying Heen” embroidery has been re-released as of 2026.

We’ve spent a whole season building up to what happens after Sauron gives those nine rings to men, and to just leave those storylines hanging would be a real letdown for anyone who’s been invested in the show from the start. It feels like we need to see where it all goes.
