There’s a good selection of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass, and I’m especially excited to try Black Ops 7 and Winter Burrow, which I’ve been watching for a while.

However, I’m disappointed to see a couple of games leaving the service, particularly the original Frostpunk and STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl (the sequel to Frostpunk will remain).

I already own both, and I suggest others purchase them too. They’re both fantastic survival games, though they offer very different experiences.

Microsoft recently resolved an issue in the latest Windows 11 builds (25H2 – Build 26200.7019, or 24H2 and newer – 26100.7019) where computers wouldn’t fully shut down. I personally experienced this problem as far back as Windows 10 – I’d initiate a shutdown after updates, only to find my PC still running hours later, leaving me unsure if I’d selected the correct option.

Passkeys are a modern, secure alternative to passwords for logging into websites and apps. They use an open standard called FIDO2 and work by using your device’s existing security features – like fingerprint scanning, facial recognition, or a PIN – instead of requiring you to remember a password. This makes logging in faster and more secure, as your login information is directly linked to your device.

The agreement is projected to be finalized in the first quarter of Electronic Arts’ 2027 fiscal year – from April to June 2026. However, it still requires approval from both shareholders and regulatory bodies worldwide. This includes a standard review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which is typical for significant acquisitions of US companies with foreign investment.

Windows 10 officially stopped receiving standard updates on October 14th. But, Microsoft is offering an Extended Security Update (ESU) program, which means you can still get security updates and safely use Windows 10 for at least another year.

Microsoft initially announced it would simplify update titles by removing details like dates and system information, opting for names like “Security Update” or “Driver Update” followed by the version number. However, user feedback indicated this change actually created confusion, making it difficult to understand how recent an update was.

Microsoft announced on November 3, 2025, that it has invested over $7.3 billion in the UAE since beginning a major investment plan in 2023. The company expects to reach this milestone by the end of the current year.

Mini PCs are increasingly popular, but true innovation in this area is challenging. Because they’re designed to be compact, most look very similar. However, this particular model breaks the mold with a surprisingly effective and clever feature.

The biggest new feature is a redesigned interface for handheld gaming PCs, modeled after console menus. Previously available only on the Xbox Ally and Ally X, it’s now expanding to devices like the MSI Claw. This update aims to provide Windows-based handhelds with an easier-to-use launcher that’s optimized for game controllers.

Our last article discussed Nintendo’s attempts to patent game ideas in the U.S., and one patent in particular – number 12403397 – caused a lot of debate. Gamers were upset because it seemed to cover a very common game feature found in many different games.
