A playful connection quickly formed between Celia Imrie, known for The Thursday Murder Club, and Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso on The Celebrity Traitors. This became clear when Mohammed surprisingly sacrificed his own opportunity to earn a shield so he could help Imrie find hers.
It looks like the pair’s connection is moving to the screen! They’ve both been cast in “War,” a new drama coming to HBO and Sky, which was revealed earlier this year.
Joining Dominic West and Sienna Miller in the new drama are newcomers Imrie and Mohammed. The series, created by George Kay – known for Hijack – has already been renewed for two seasons.
The series ‘War’ centers on a high-stakes divorce battle between two top London law firms, Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne. Both firms are confident they’ll win this landmark case, but as the legal fight intensifies and alliances shift, everyone’s reputation is at risk and the competition becomes fierce.
I’m so excited because this season is just the start! The incredible case we saw in season one was just the first of many big, real-life legal fights they’re planning to tackle. It’s going to be an amazing series!
Josh West stars as tech mogul Morgan Henderson, and Katie Miller plays Carla Duval, his soon-to-be ex-wife and a famous actress. Their messy and public divorce will be a central part of the story.
I’m really excited about the new cast members joining the show! They’ve added Shaheen Jafargholi, who I loved in ‘In Flight’, along with Akiya Henry from ‘Protection’, Rose Williams who was great in ‘Sanditon’, Camille Coduri of ‘Big Boys’, Aran Murphy who I recently saw in ‘Klara and the Sun’, and Honor Swinton Byrne, who I know from ‘A Very Royal Scandal’. It’s a fantastic group of actors and I can’t wait to see them in action!
I’m so excited to see Miles Jupp, who I loved in Belgravia: The Next Chapter, is joining the cast! And Kartanya Maynard from Heartbreak High too – brilliant! Alexandra Mardell, who was fantastic in Coronation Street, and Mark Quartley from The Marlow Murder Club are also on board, along with the hilarious Steve Furst – I remember him from I Fought The Law. What a lineup!
The initial cast announcement for the series included Phoebe Fox, James McArdle, Nina Sosanya, Pip Torrens, and Archie Renaux.
