BBC host Amol Rajan has been tipped for a role on the second series of The Celebrity Traitors.
Rajan, the familiar face of University Challenge and BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, will be a contestant on the upcoming season of the show, which will be filmed in a Scottish castle later this year, according to The Sun.
According to a source, hiring Amol is a huge win. He’s known for his tough questioning of prominent figures and his ability to quickly identify dishonesty, skills honed during his time on the Today programme.
The producers are confident he’s a sharp player who won’t be tricked by the other celebrities. He’s great at hiding his emotions and is very intelligent, making him a strong contender no matter if Claudia chooses him to be a Traitor or keeps him as a Faithful.
According to a source, Amol is a big fan of the show and was thrilled to join the cast. They said viewers will be surprised to see a much tougher and more competitive side of him.
A BBC representative stated they won’t be responding to rumors, and information about the second series of The Celebrity Traitors will be shared when it’s ready.

So, Rajan’s leaving the Today programme – he announced it way back in January, and honestly, it feels like the right move for him. He put out a statement saying he’s finally going to pursue some entrepreneurial dreams, starting his own company. It’s a bit vague what that company is right now, but good for him for following his gut!
BBC hasn’t announced who will be on the next season of Celebrity Traitors, but rumors suggest popular figures like Michael Sheen, Cheryl Tweedy, and Hugh Grant might be involved.

I’m so excited! Claudia Winkleman, who hosts The Traitors, has hinted that they’ve got an amazing group of people signed up for the next season. I can’t wait to see who it is!
During an appearance on The One Show on Wednesday, March 25th, she explained she was so surprised by the cast and crew that she had to ask the host to repeat their names twice, thinking it was a joke.
She continued: “We’re incredibly lucky.”
