The movie *Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc* is now playing in many Asian countries and will be released in the U.S. on October 24th. With less than three weeks to go until the U.S. premiere, the movie is being promoted, though not as extensively as Ufotable’s *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle* was. Last month, fans got a preview of the opening theme song, a new track called “IRIS OUT” by Kenshi Yonezu. A music video featuring clips from the trailer was previously released, and now a new version with previously unseen footage is available.
The first look at the new *Chainsaw Man* movie shows Denji, Aki, and Power back together as Devil Hunters, hinting at the adventures to come. We also see familiar faces like Makima, and while Reze isn’t featured, characters like Angel and Kishibe do appear. The footage includes small clues about how the movie will begin.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Unveils Its Opening Sequence Alongside the Opening Theme Song
The movie starts with a two-and-a-half-minute opening showing Denji, Aki, and Power continuing to live together just like they did in the first season. We see Denji and Power getting into mischief, while Aki tries to keep things in order. Although the scene doesn’t reveal much about what happens next, it does show Makima reviewing files on the trio, implying she has a new task for them. Notably, Power appears with bigger and more numerous horns than before. Since previous trailers didn’t show Power in action, this suggests she’ll have a significant role and her own storyline in the movie.
The beginning of the movie introduces characters like Angel Devil, Violence, and Kobeni, hinting they’ll play important parts. We also see Kishibe. Though Reze isn’t shown, the opening strongly suggests tough times are ahead for Denji – a girl leaves him holding a grenade pin, hinting at danger. This opening acts like a theme, giving quick looks at what’s to come. Overall, *Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc* looks to deliver the same great animation, unique style, and exciting energy fans expect from *Chainsaw Man*.
