The Chainsaw Man manga recently finished, but the ending felt very sudden and left many fans wanting more. Many are hoping the story will continue somehow, and thankfully, the anime is still being made, with a new season already planned to cover the Assassination arc. The recent Chainsaw Man movie is also now available to stream, which is helping to keep the series alive. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what the author, Tatsuki Fujimoto, does next and if there’s a future for Chainsaw Man. While nothing is confirmed, the main character has just unexpectedly reappeared, which is exciting news for fans.
Denji, the popular character from Chainsaw Man, recently appeared in the manga Dandadan through a special collaboration. The newest volume of Dandadan (Volume 23), just released in Japan, includes a bonus crossover featuring Denji and Beam. This unexpected appearance shows how well Denji’s style matches the unique and playful atmosphere of Dandadan.
Chainsaw Man Manga Returns In a Special Crossover

CHAINSAW MAN CROSSOVER!!!!!!!— Dhiraj (@DheeruPra) April 2, 2026
A recent bonus chapter in the manga Dandadan—which includes the story of Momo, Jiji, and the Kitos fighting a Sharknado—features a cameo from Denji. He’s annoyed that all the chaos is interfering with his plans to meet girls at the beach. The scene cleverly mirrors a moment from the recent Dandadan movie, showing Denji riding Beam (in shark form) as they head toward the Typhoon Devil. However, Denji’s attempt to take on the Sharknado doesn’t go well, and he and Beam end up falling into the ocean.
When a female lifeguard saves Denji, he instantly loses interest in the dangerous Sharknado and tries to flirt with her. This moment perfectly shows Denji’s personality – he’s always focused on girls and money. The crossover is a fun surprise for fans who were missing the series after it finished. Though it’s just a joke and doesn’t affect the main story, it’s a great way to bring Chainsaw Man back, especially alongside Dandadan, which feels like a natural fit. It’s a dream team-up for fans of both series.
