After a two-year wait, Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc has arrived, and it doesn’t disappoint. With stunning animation and a strong script, the movie seamlessly continues the story from Season 1 and exceeds expectations.
It’s no surprise that Chainsaw Man: The Movie — Reze Arc is so popular with both viewers and critics. Many are calling one fight scene the best in the entire Chainsaw Man series, and even one of the best action sequences in anime history – and it’s hard to disagree.
How Chainsaw Man: The Movie – Reze Arc Released Anime’s Greatest Fight Scene

The final part of the 2025 film, Chainsaw Man: The Movie — Reze Arc, focuses on the intense battle between Denji and Beam against Reze and the Typhoon Devil. The animation is consistently stunning, showcasing some of MAPPA’s best work, and at times feels like a direct translation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s vibrant artwork.
The fight between Denji and Reze perfectly showcased the show’s impressive quality. The choreography was fantastic, and the clever use of color – sometimes present, sometimes absent – really emphasized the impact of each blow, making an already exciting battle even more visually captivating.
What really elevates the movie is how different it is from the original manga. The final battle of the Reze arc was quite simple in the manga, but the movie expanded it with exciting, fast-paced action. Combined with the stunning visuals, it’s easily one of the best anime fight scenes ever made.
Chainsaw Man’s Movie Sets A New Standard For Season 2

Because the Chainsaw Man: The Movie has been so popular, a second season of the anime is likely to happen. And, given that the movie’s fast-paced action was key to its success, the new season will probably follow that style, moving away from the slower, more artistic approach of the first season.
The first season’s compilation movie already hinted at this change, as it was re-edited to be faster-paced and cut out sections viewers didn’t like. The new style perfectly matches the look and feel of the original manga and is generally excellent, making it difficult to criticize.
If a second season of Chainsaw Man is made, we can probably expect the animation style from Tatsuya Yoshinari to be used consistently. Considering how amazing the final fight in Chainsaw Man: The Movie — Reze Arc looked, that’s fantastic news! If Yoshinari’s style becomes the standard for the anime going forward, it would be a real treat for viewers.
