There’s no need for riddles when it comes to Chase Infiniti‘s moniker.
The actress from One Battle After Another recently shared that her first name actually came from a character played by Nicole Kidman – a pretty unexpected source of inspiration!
At the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1st, Chase confirmed to Justin Sylvester of Live From TopMob that she played Dr. Chase Meridian in Batman Forever. In the 1995 film, her character was a psychologist and consultant for the Gotham City police, and also Bruce Wayne/Batman’s love interest, played by Val Kilmer.
Has the 25-year-old actress, nominated for her leading role in One Battle After Another, had a chance to meet the person she’s named after?
She confessed on the red carpet that she’s been close to meeting this person many times, but hasn’t yet. She expressed her eagerness and excitement for when they finally do meet.
Chase shared that her middle name is a tribute to Buzz Lightyear’s famous line from Toy Story, and she called the current situation a perfect, meaningful moment.
The actress experienced another special connection when she finally got to know Teyana Taylor, who played her mother in the Paul Thomas Anderson film. They hadn’t had much time together while shooting the movie, so it was a meaningful moment after wrapping up production.
She joked that you can always tell when she and Teyana Taylor are together because the energy immediately goes up. They became very close while promoting the film, and she’s incredibly thankful to know Teyana and feels comfortable reaching out to her for anything.
And she had just as much love for her onscreen dad Leonardo DiCaprio.
She shared how grateful she was for the incredible support she’s received, especially from one person and the rest of the cast, who have shown her so much love. She recognizes how lucky she is and wants to reciprocate the kindness she’s been given, feeling the warmth from everyone around her.
