Elijah Blue Allman is facing legal charges.
Devon Allman, son of Cher and the late Greg Allman, was arrested on February 27th in Concord, New Hampshire, following an incident at a nearby boarding school, according to several news reports.
Concord Police were called to St. Paul’s School after receiving reports of a disruptive and aggressive individual, later identified as Elijah, according to police reports.
The 49-year-old man faces several charges, including trespassing, making threats, and disturbing the peace. He’s also been charged with two counts of simple assault. After being booked, he was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
TopMob News has contacted Cher’s representative and the Concord Police Department for a statement, but they haven’t responded yet.
Beyond his legal troubles, Elijah, the singer for the band Deadsy, was taken to the hospital in June. This happened after police received reports of a man behaving strangely at a home in Landers, California.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, when deputies arrived at the scene, 48-year-old Elijah Allman was already being examined by paramedics. Deputies found drugs in the home and Allman was taken to the hospital. The investigation is still underway.

Soon after, Elijah’s former wife, Marieangela King Allman, publicly expressed her support for him. They had married in 2013.
In a statement to People magazine, she acknowledged that Elijah has dealt with personal difficulties, but emphasized his consistent dedication to staying sober and his strong relationships with loved ones. She explained that, like many people, he’s still working through internal challenges, but he’s approaching them with resilience, not resignation.
Let me tell you, I’m a firm believer in always supporting him, no matter what. Even though we’re going through a divorce – I filed back in April – my support hasn’t wavered. It comes from a really deep place of respect; he’s an incredible person, and I admire his strength and how he keeps moving forward, even now.
For a closer look at Cher’s family tree, read on…

Cher has often talked about her past relationships with well-known actors like Warren Beatty, Tom Cruise, and Val Kilmer, and while she enjoys being in a relationship, she never wanted to get married – or have many husbands.
Cher’s complicated family history includes the fact that her mother, Georgia Holt, was married seven times—even marrying her first husband, Cher’s father John Sarkisian, twice.
In her 2024 memoir, Cher explained that for women of her mother’s generation, getting married was considered the standard path. She wrote that her mother always seemed to believe marriage offered a sense of security.

Cher remembers that despite having many stepfathers and potential husbands come and go during her childhood, she hardly recalls any consistent male presence at home. This upbringing taught her to be strong, self-reliant, and flexible, but Cher also realized it demonstrated that marriage wasn’t always as wonderful as people made it seem.
Despite her age, Georgia was able to have a fulfilling relationship. For the last 46 years of her life, until her death in 2022 at age 96, she was with Craig Spencer, who was 22 years younger than her.
Cher wrote in her memoir that she and Craig didn’t initially see eye-to-eye, but she was glad to see her mother find happiness in a loving relationship.
As time went by, Cher wrote, “we became good friends and still are.”

Cher was very young – only 18 – when she married Salvatore “Sonny” Bono, who was 29, on October 27, 1964. They divorced after six years, but their musical partnership, known as Sonny & Cher, continued to thrive.
During its peak, over 30 million viewers watched Sonny and Cher’s comedy show each week—the jokes about Sonny’s height, at 5’5”, were always a big hit. They also sold more than 40 million records. This success is why they continued to perform together even after they divorced in 1975.
She’s not sure if she’d marry Sonny again if she could go back in time. In her memoir, she details how he became controlling and unfaithful while battling a painkiller addiction, and at times, his behavior was abusive.
Cher described the relationship as difficult, saying, “It was really, really rough,” and wasn’t sure if it was a love-hate situation, according to a November 2024 interview with USA Today.
Cher explained that she felt confused and deeply hurt by his actions, and she struggled to understand his motivations. She admitted that, by the final year, she felt emotionally drained and realized she couldn’t continue the relationship because it was taking a serious toll on her well-being.
Sonny married Cher after divorcing Donna Rankin, and later married two more times. He was mayor of Palm Springs, California, from 1988 to 1992, and in 1995, he was elected to Congress, representing California’s 44th district. He tragically died in a skiing accident at age 62 in 1998. Following his death, his wife Mary Bono won a special election to take his place in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Chaz Bono, the child of Sonny and Cher, was born on March 4, 1969, and first appeared on television through his parents’ show.

Chaz released an album with the band Ceremony in 1993, but then shifted his focus to LGBTQ+ activism. He came out as gay to his parents when he was 18, and later publicly shared in 2009 that he was transitioning.
Chaz Bono documented his transition in the 2011 film Becoming Chaz and later appeared on Dancing With the Stars, where he placed seventh. This made him the first transgender man to gain significant visibility on a major TV network for reasons unrelated to his gender identity.
Chaz is a multi-talented individual who has authored several books and appeared in popular television shows like American Horror Story: Roanoke and Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as The Bold and the Beautiful. He’s also been in a number of independent horror films.
Okay, so Cher—Cher!—has finally talked about Chaz’s transition, and honestly, it just makes me love her even more. She said it wasn’t easy, and of course it wasn’t! But the fact that she stood by him, always, makes her such a legend. She’s always been a total icon for everyone, but especially for us in the LGBTQ+ community. Knowing she went through this with Chaz, and still supports him so fiercely… it just means the world. It wasn’t easy for anyone, but she handled it with such grace, as always. She’s the best!
In a 2020 interview with CNN’s Christiana Amanpour, she recalled the pain of receiving an old message from her son, Chaz. She described the experience as very difficult, but explained that losing a child isn’t a complete loss – their presence simply changes form.
Chaz Bono shared with Oprah Winfrey in 2016 that he had a very close and positive relationship with his mother.

Cher married musician Gregg Allman on June 30, 1975, just three days after her divorce from Sonny Bono became official.
Cher and Gregg Allman first connected at an Allman Brothers concert in Los Angeles. As Cher wrote in her autobiography, Gregg noticed her in the audience and sent a note with his number, asking her to join him again the next night.
In a 2024 interview with USA Today, Cher shared how deeply she loved Gregory. She described him as a wonderful and amazing man, but also acknowledged his struggle with heroin addiction.
In her memoir, Cher revealed she filed for divorce just nine days after getting married. However, they decided to stay together when he entered a rehabilitation program.
Cher explained that her ex-partner felt he couldn’t live up to her expectations. She clarified that all she ever wanted from him was for him to be sober.
Cher and Sonny divorced permanently in 1978. Despite still loving him, Cher felt she had to protect their children from his unpredictable behavior, explaining she loved him “for the right reasons and the wrong.”
Gregg married Cher, who was his third wife, and went on to marry four other women. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 69 due to liver cancer.

During their brief union, Cher and Gregg welcomed son Elijah Skye Blue Allman on July 10, 1976.
Although Elijah was born in Los Angeles, Cher wrote in her memoir about going into early labor while in Hawaii. She was staying there with her son, Chaz, and friends at the time, while her then-husband, Gregg, was receiving treatment for addiction again.
Doctors managed to stop her labor, and five weeks later, she was able to fly home with Gregg, who had finished his treatment, and her OBGYN, who traveled to Hawaii to help her return to California. When her due date passed, she was eventually induced to deliver the baby.
Gregg picked the name Elijah, and Cher chose the rest. She explained that while her son was in the hospital in Hawaii, all she could see from the window was blue sky, and that inspired her choices.

Elijah continued the family tradition of music, starting by playing guitar while touring with his mother’s band. He even made a brief appearance in her 1989 music video for “If I Turn Back Time” at the age of 13.
Besides performing with bands like Thirty Seconds to Mars and Korn, he’s also put out four albums with his own industrial rock group, Deadsy.
Elijah married British singer Marieangela King in 2013, but he’s been going through a difficult time personally.

In 2023, Marieangela—who began divorce proceedings in 2021—claimed in court documents that Cher had arranged for their son, Elijah, to be taken from a hotel room in November 2022, during a period when they were still trying to repair their marriage.
Cher quickly dismissed the rumors without saying anything more. However, she later told People magazine that she was dealing with challenges many parents face. She explained, “I’m a mother, and my priority is always helping my children, no matter what it takes. That’s simply what mothers do – we’ll do anything for them.”
In January 2024, a court rejected her request to control Elijah’s finances. Then, on June 14, 2025, the 48-year-old was taken to the hospital after police responded to a report of unusual behavior at a home in Landers, California. Authorities also said they found drugs at the residence.
Marieangela shared in a statement to People that despite past difficulties, Elijah has consistently prioritized his sobriety and the people he cares about. She noted that, like many others, he still deals with personal challenges, but approaches them with resilience rather than giving up.
And no matter the state of their relationship, she added, “I will always root for him.”

Cher has been dating music executive Alexander Edwards, who’s 40 years her junior, since 2022.
Cher admitted on The Kelly Clarkson Show that their relationship might seem strange to outsiders. However, she explained that they actually get along really well in person, describing him as wonderful and emphasizing that she doesn’t praise men who don’t earn it.
And maybe older men simply can’t handle all the woman that is Cher.
She explained to Kelly Clarkson that she’d dated men around her own age, but they weren’t interested. She thinks younger men might be more accepting of a strong, funny, and spontaneous personality, and she’s not willing to change who she is to please anyone.
And they’re still going strong.
Cher explained to Extra in October 2023 that she and her partner simply connect on a deep level. They share a similar sense of humor and genuinely enjoy each other’s company. She noted that while she’s more outgoing, he tends to be a bit quieter and more reserved.
Though admittedly their points of reference can’t help but diverge.
“Sometimes I’m talking to him,” Cher explained, “and he has no idea who I’m talking about.”
She admitted he knew classic stars like Clark Gable, but chuckled that most of the people she referenced were before his time. “He’ll just look at me and say, ‘I wasn’t even alive then!’”

Edwards is very private about his personal life, but when asked about his relationship by TMZ in May 2024, he confirmed things are going well, saying, “We’re happy. We’re a happy family.”
The producer also has a son named Slash Edwards, born in October 2019, with his former partner Amber Rose.
During a January appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Cher shared that she hosted around 25 people for the holidays, including some adorable children. She also mentioned a particularly cute guest – her boyfriend’s son, Slash, whom she considers a close friend.
