Chris Martin & Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple Performs in Nashville

Apple Martin is proving that music runs in the family.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s 19-year-old daughter, Apple Martin, joined the musical duo Jade Street on stage during their concert at Cannery Hall in Nashville on October 17th.

Okay, so she just *appeared* on stage, which was already amazing, but then… wow. She was wearing this super simple outfit – a white cropped tank and a black mini skirt – and honestly, it was perfect on her. I saw the TikTok from October 19th, and she was just completely lost in the music, swaying and playing with her blonde hair. I’m a Vanderbilt student too, so seeing her there was unreal! I seriously couldn’t take my eyes off her.

This performance seems to be a step in her broader exploration of singing. Just before the show, she and the band hinted at a new collaboration on the song “Satellites,” announcing its release date of October 28th on Instagram.

Apple’s new song isn’t her first time being involved in music. She previously co-wrote the song “Let Somebody Go” with her father’s band, Coldplay, and Selena Gomez. The song was featured on Coldplay’s 2021 album, *Music of the Spheres*.

The song lyrics say that when the singer asked mathematicians to define love, they responded that it’s simply equal to pain.

Apple recently appeared on stage with her father. Back in October 2016, she and Chris – who shares a 19-year-old son named Moses with Gwyneth – performed a duet of Ariana Grande’s song “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” at a charity event benefiting the Malibu Boys and Girls Club.

Right now, Apple seems to be prioritizing finishing college, so her music career is more of a hobby.

She studies law, history, and society, and she’s considering taking a theater class before graduating. As she told *Interview* magazine in April, it would provide a good contrast to her academic work and other activities.
