Chris Pratt on what Star-Lord did since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Chris Pratt recently told ScreenTime what his character, Star-Lord, has been up to since the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He joked that Peter Quill is likely struggling with the guilt of potentially causing Iron Man’s death, while also trying to remind everyone he once acted like a hero. Pratt also mentioned Quill would be busy rediscovering music, catching up on decades of hits from the 1970s to the present.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ends with Peter Quill back on Earth, reconnecting with his grandfather. The final scene shows them enjoying breakfast together, accompanied by a message hinting at Star-Lord’s return. Chris Pratt, who plays Star-Lord, has expressed his desire to fulfill the promise made throughout the Guardians of the Galaxy films that his character would return.
When asked about a possible solo Star-Lord movie, Chris Pratt jokingly described a plot centered around music, calling it the “Star-Lord Assemble Music Mission.” He explained they’d brainstorm ideas openly, saying they’d invite people into the writers’ room and explore every possibility.
Chris Pratt has expressed his desire to play the Punisher in future Marvel projects. He revealed that the Punisher was his favorite comic book character growing up, and he’s particularly interested in portraying the futuristic ‘Punisher 2099’ version, even though Jon Bernthal currently plays the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Punisher 2099 first appeared in 1993 and tells the story of Jacob Gallows. He’s a police officer in a dark, futuristic world who takes on the role of the Punisher. He decides to continue the original Punisher’s fight against crime after finding his war journal.
