Christina Haack Addresses HGTV Show Cancellation With Cheeky Comment

Christina Haack doesn’t mind being canceled.

Following the cancellation of her HGTV series, “Christina on the Coast,” and also the non-renewal of Tarek El Moussa and Heather El Moussa’s show, “The Flipping El Moussas,” by the home renovation channel, she playfully expressed her response through social media.

In her July 20 Instagram post featuring a picture of her children Taylor (14), Brayden (9), whom she shares with Tarek, and Hudson (5) who’s from her relationship with ex Ant Anstead, Christina humorously wrote, “It’s been all about feasting and giggling this summer. I may claim to have given up on appearances, but that’s just a joke, just a joke!

It seems that Christina is enjoying a fantastic summer with her children, friends, and her partner, Christopher Larocca, as he appeared in many pictures from her recent social media album upload.

Although Christina’s individual home renovation series, where she transformed coastal homes in California, was discontinued, her latest venture with former partner Tarek and his spouse Heather, titled “The Flip Off“, has been granted a second season renewal instead.

The more recent series underwent a significant shift after Christina’s divorce from Josh Hall in 2024. Initially planned to feature competing couples flipping houses, it evolved into Christina competing alone against Tarek and Heather. Later, Christina expressed her preference for this change at the age of 41.

She mentioned to Jennifer Hudson on her afternoon talk program in January that it’s significantly less complicated because there’s no one else interfering. In other words, she doesn’t need permission from anyone anymore, and there’s no burden of others holding her back.

As she put it, “I think I have an advantage.”

Christina openly stated that she feels happier and more content after the divorce with Josh, even when not on camera.

In that March episode of ‘Christina on the Coast,’ I couldn’t help but exclaim, ‘This house is simply fantastic!’ The kids here are overjoyed, and it’s clear that everyone in this home is flourishing. Truly, these children are not just surviving, they’re truly thriving.
