Ciara Miller is sharing her piece.
The Summer House cast member publicly addressed the news for the first time after her friend Amanda Batula and former boyfriend West Wilson revealed they are now dating.
Ciara explained to Glamour in a recent interview that she wants to pursue things on her own terms, in a way that’s more meaningful than a quick podcast appearance or a social media comment.
She explained that if something about Amanda and West’s relationship felt off, there was probably a good reason. She believes that secrets eventually come out, and sometimes all you need to do is wait and let things unfold naturally.
The public attention surrounding the scandal has definitely impacted her life in recent weeks.
Ciara explained that dealing with personal pain privately is hard enough, but having it play out so publicly adds another level of difficulty. To then watch what she considered her life continue on television in a tenth season was incredibly disorienting and upsetting.
The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light, but she and West were trying to improve their relationship. Because of that previous closeness with Amanda, she felt more hurt by Amanda’s actions than by what West did.
Ultimately, people are who they are,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of what’s happening with me and West, you can’t always predict what someone will do. What’s most shocking to me is that it came from Amanda, someone I’ve considered a friend and supporter for a long time. That’s the part I find hardest to believe.”
I’ve gone to bat for you, even arguing with your husband to support you. I’ve really tried to lift you up and help you recognize your own worth. So, to be treated with such disrespect… it’s honestly hurtful and leaves me speechless sometimes.

Ciara shared that she invited both West and Amanda to her intimate 30th birthday celebration in December. West was able to make it, but Amanda couldn’t attend.
It meant so much to me that we were finally starting to rebuild our connection after two years of silence. It genuinely felt like we were becoming friends again, and we were having really open and honest conversations about what we both needed from the friendship. We talked about boundaries, what would make things easier for each of us, and just how to make it work this time around. It felt like a really healthy and positive step forward.
You know, when I was on Bravo, there was an unspoken rule about co-stars hooking up – it just wasn’t done. That’s definitely changed now! Honestly, what made things so tough when our friendship fell apart was that we were truly close. It really hurt, and that’s why I needed some time to heal and process everything afterwards.

Nurse and social media personality, Amanda, attended the season two premiere of Your Friends & Neighbors on March 30th. At the time, speculation about a possible relationship between Amanda and West was increasing. While there, actor Jon Hamm asked her how she was doing.
“I’m good,” Ciara replied, before looking at the camera and adding, “Well, I’ve been better.”
Ciara posted a segment of the interview on her Instagram late on March 31st, just hours after Amanda and West released their statement. She captioned it with the question, “If you can’t trust your friends and neighbors, who can you trust?”
Ever since Ciara and Kyle became a couple, her fellow cast members from Summer House and other Bravo stars have shown her a lot of support. Kyle, for his part, has been defending his soon-to-be ex-wife against online criticism, and he largely blames West for the drama surrounding their relationship.

I was really surprised to hear about Amanda and Kyle’s split – it seemed so unexpected! But what’s even more interesting is her new relationship with Daniel West. From what they’ve said, it wasn’t something either of them planned. It sounds like their feelings developed naturally from a really solid friendship, and they wanted to be careful and respectful as they explored things. It’s nice to see them prioritizing that kind of approach.

Ever since Ciara and Kyle became a couple, she’s gotten a lot of love and encouragement from her fellow cast members on Summer House and other stars from Bravo. Kyle, for his part, has been defending his soon-to-be ex-wife against online criticism, and he believes the majority of the blame for their relationship drama lies with West.

Ciara Miller and West Wilson found love on the set of Summer House season eight in 2023, and their connection continued off-screen in real life.
However, their romance wouldn’t last long, with the costars breaking up at the end of that year.
Their difficult breakup created tension at the summer house for the next two years, as Ciara wrestled with whether to forgive the sports reporter for hurting her and potentially try to rebuild their relationship.

After a rocky four-year marriage, Amanda Batula and Kyle Cooke have decided to separate, just before the tenth season of their Bravo series airs in 2026.
The couple announced on Instagram on January 19th that they’ve decided to separate. They shared the news in a joint statement, saying the decision was mutual and made with respect for each other. They asked for privacy and understanding as they both focus on moving forward and healing.
Amanda and Kyle, who got married in September 2021, shared that it feels strange to ask for privacy, as they’ve always been open about their relationship. However, they appreciate kindness and respect as they begin this new phase of their lives.
The show gave viewers an intimate look at the couple’s struggles, essentially watching their relationship fall apart.

News started circulating quickly about a possible romance between Amanda and West after the gossip blog Deuxmoi reported on March 5th that the two actors were seen behaving flirtatiously in New York City.
Addressing rumors, West dismissed the speculation during a March 24th appearance on Watch What Happens Live. He explained that she’s currently single and that he was simply showing her around New York, something he’s done for other friends in the past. He stated, “She’s single now and it happened already to other people she’s hung out with. We were just hanging out in New York. She’s single now, I gotta show her the streets a little.”
The journalist said, “She’s a close friend – someone I really care about.”

After news spread about a possible relationship between West and Amanda, some of their colleagues shared their reactions.
On March 29th, Carl Radke posted a confused-looking photo on his Instagram Stories. Lindsay Hubbard and KJ Dillard followed suit, sharing similar expressions of bewilderment on their own social media accounts.
Austen Kroll, a fellow reality TV star and friend to several members of the Summer House cast, appeared to weigh in on the drama. On March 29th, he posted to his Instagram Stories, “Apparently, dating your friends’ exes and eating pasta are both trending again.”

Amanda and West publicly confirmed the rumors in a joint statement posted on Instagram on March 31st.
We never meant to keep our relationship a secret,” the couple explained in a message on Instagram Stories. “Because things were complicated, and with so much attention from the reality show, we needed some time to figure things out privately before talking about it.
I want to add that we’ve always known this was a private matter and never intended for anything we did to cause pain or seem thoughtless. We’re really grateful for everyone’s understanding and respect as we work through this.

Just as West and Amanda revealed they were dating, Ciara was seen in New York City looking upset and being comforted by a friend. She also started getting support from friends and fellow reality stars online, as people began choosing sides in the drama surrounding the new relationship.
Amanda’s soon-to-be ex-husband, Kyle Cooke, appeared to make light of recent drama by posting a selfie with Ciara on Instagram on March 30th.
Paige DeSorbo, known from Summer House, publicly showed her support for Ciara on Instagram, simply writing, “Ur perfect.” Lindsay Hubbard and Dara Levitan, a new addition to season 10, also voiced their support for Ciara, with Lindsay commenting “Perfection,” and Dara adding, “And that’s how you do it.”

Two days after Amanda and West went public, Kyle slammed his former friend for moving in on his ex.
He told journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok video posted in April that he felt deeply betrayed. “He ended our friendship really quickly,” he said. “I thought we had a ‘bro code’ – I don’t understand what happened.”
Kyle also insinuated West’s intentions were calculated.
He told Adam that West is skilled at understanding his audience and knows exactly how to appeal to women. People are impressed by what seems like a positive change in West’s behavior, but he was definitely being calculated and intentional with his words.

Ciara’s longtime BFF Paige DeSorbo made it clear whose side she’s on amid the fallout.
Ciara is a true friend to us, and we’ve been there for her, offering support and comfort,” a former Summer House cast member revealed on the April 3rd episode of their Giggly Squad podcast. “We fully support her and would never try to profit from her difficult time.
Paige went on to share “the final thing” she was going to say about the situation.
Paige described Ciara as a strong, smart, and capable woman. She explained that Ciara will share her thoughts and feelings when she’s ready, and Paige wouldn’t presume to speak for her.

After waiting a week to process things, Ciara finally spoke up and gave a brief update on how she’s doing.
At the premiere of Euphoria season three on April 7th, Ciara shared with Entertainment Tonight that she’s doing well and feeling positive despite the recent, highly publicized relationship between Amanda and West.

Ciara showed she wasn’t bothered by the growing connection between Amanda and West, playfully dismissing their romance while hosting the red carpet event for the premiere of HBO Max’s Euphoria season three.
Ciara jokingly asked Sydney Sweeney, whose character on HBO often finds herself in complicated love lives, what she thought would happen if someone dated their friend’s ex-boyfriend. She posed the question at an event on April 7th.
Sydney, who plays Cassie Howard on the show, reacted with discomfort when asked about her character beginning a relationship with Nate Jacobs (Jacob Elordi), the ex-boyfriend of her character’s best friend, Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie). She simply said, “It’s not good.”
Ciara, age 30, directly told her partner what she wanted for their future, stating, “I think we should get married.”

Following a week of backlash, Amanda broke her silence to address angry fans.
In a recent Instagram post on April 10th, the 34-year-old apologized to anyone they’ve hurt or let down, particularly those they’ve contacted directly.
She explained that she’s trying to get back to a more normal life for her own well-being. She asked that if people see her out or online, they understand she’s still deeply affected by everything that’s happened, and she isn’t trying to avoid acknowledging it.
Plus, she promised fans will get more answers to their myriad of questions soon.
Amanda confirmed she’ll be at the reunion and promised to answer everyone’s questions openly and honestly while she’s there.

Almost three weeks after West and Amanda revealed their relationship, Ciara finally spoke directly about the controversy for the first time.
Ciara recently told Glamour magazine that dealing with personal heartbreak is hard enough, but having it happen publicly adds another level of pain. She specifically described watching her former life unfold on season 10 of a show as incredibly disorienting and upsetting.
The woman, age 30, said she was much closer to Amanda before the scandal came to light. However, she and West were actively trying to improve their relationship at the time. Because of this previous closeness, she felt Amanda’s actions were a greater betrayal than West’s.
Ultimately, people are who they are,” Ciara explained. “Regardless of what’s happening with me and West, you can’t always predict what men will do. What’s most shocking to me is that this came from Amanda, someone I’ve considered a friend and supporter for a long time. That’s the hardest part to process.”
