Comic Relief 2026 brought in an amazing £30 million through a night filled with comedy, entertainment, and music, all thanks to generous fundraising efforts.
Davina McCall revealed the incredible fundraising total during last night’s event: a fantastic £30,004,040. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their amazing generosity.
While some local fundraising efforts are still happening, the total amount raised will probably go up in the next few weeks.

Comic Relief announced on social media that they’ve raised an incredible £30,004,040 thanks to everyone’s support!
As a movie buff, I’ve seen a lot of stories about people needing a helping hand, and honestly, the impact this is going to have is huge. It’s not just about giving money, it’s about truly changing lives, both here in the UK and around the world. Every bit of generosity will go towards providing the basics – things like food, a safe place to rest your head, and the chance to live without fear. It’s about giving people dignity and a real shot at a better life, and that’s a story worth supporting.
We’re so thankful for everyone who donated, fundraised, and supported Red Nose Day 2026! Your generosity is helping us make a real and lasting difference.
“It’s not too late to make a difference. Please donate if you can.”
McCall hosted the broadcast, with Katherine Ryan, Nick Mohammed, Joel Dommett, and Catherine Tate – playing her famous character Nan from The Catherine Tate Show – joining as guests.
The show included several comedy sketches. Highlights were ‘The Bank Job’ with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, and a sequel to ‘The Traitors: The Movie’ featuring Iain Stirling, Vicky Pattison, Alison Steadman, and recent contestants Rachel, Stephen, and Fiona.

The entertainment continued with Katherine Ryan and Jon Richardson performing a sketch inspired by Wuthering Heights, playfully portraying characters similar to Cathy and Heathcliff.
Lucy Punch and Philippa Dunne returned as their characters Amanda and Anne for a special sketch, gathering some of television’s most famous Amandas together.
BBC Radio 1’s Greg James finished a challenging 1,000km bike ride across the UK earlier today, successfully raising over £4 million for charity.
After finishing the race, James spoke with Jack Saunders from Radio 1, saying it had been really tough at times, but he’d gotten through it with everyone’s support. He said he’d most remember the happiness he saw and how he pushed past the pain to experience it.

Okay, so this website uses something called reCAPTCHA – you know, those little puzzles you sometimes have to solve to prove you’re not a robot? Before it loads, they’re asking if it’s okay. Apparently, it uses cookies and stuff, so they want to be upfront about that. If you click ‘Accept and continue,’ it’ll let reCAPTCHA do its thing and you can move on. It’s just a heads-up about data privacy, really.
