L’Empereur was released by Koei in 1991 for an 8-bit home console.

Okay, so in this game, I get to be Napoleon! It’s all about starting with France in a tough spot, working my way up to become Emperor, and then trying to unite all of Europe. Basically, the whole country is counting on me to pull it off!

Overcome the challenges of realistic HEX-based warfare, requiring consideration of varying topography and bridge construction, and develop sharp diplomatic strategies by your genius military tactics and political power.

The Console Archives series takes beloved classic games from older home consoles and makes them available on today’s gaming systems.

In Console Archives series, features such as customizable button layouts, rapid-fire settings, multiple save points, and for some titles, a rewind function have been added, to support players in completing these classics.

Players can also tweak the screen’s appearance with options like layout adjustments and filters that mimic the look of old CRT televisions, letting them personalize how the game looks.

We hope you discover a game you love, whether you’re revisiting an old favorite or playing something new, and that you enjoy it on your own terms.
