About
Nobunaga’s Ambition was released by KOEI in 1988 for an 8-bit home console.
This game lets you step into the role of a powerful feudal lord in ancient Japan, with the ambitious mission of uniting the entire country.
The Sengoku period is a time of constant conflict, and you must skillfully build up your territory, grow your army, and defeat your enemies. Use all your cleverness to finally bring peace to this chaotic era!
I’m really excited about the Console Archives series! Basically, the developers are taking classic games originally released on older consoles and bringing them back to life so I can play them on my current system. It’s awesome because they’re really focusing on staying true to the original experience – they want to make sure these masterpieces feel exactly as they did back in the day, but playable on modern hardware.
This series is easy to use, offering options to personalize the controls and display. You can also save your progress at any time and pick up right where you left off.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or discovering them now, we hope you enjoy these classic games that helped define console gaming!
You can find the options menu and user manual in six languages: Japanese, English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
